About the Role

This is a pivotal role and provides a vital administrative function supporting the delivery of the wider Community Safety and Engagement portfolio. You will contribute to the efficient operation and development of a diverse range of services, including:

  • Domestic Abuse (including admin related to Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews)
  • Anti-Social Behaviour
  • Neighbourhood Management
  • Prevent, Hate Crime and Modern Slavery
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector Engagement
  • Youth Engagement and Holiday Activity and Food (HAF)

The primary function of this role focuses on the work that the department does to support high risk victims of domestic abuse, including providing administrative support to regular multi-agency partnership meetings.

Working as part of a collaborative team and reporting to the Community Safety Support Officer, you will ensure high-quality administrative support across services, contributing to positive outcomes for communities across Sefton.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering a wide range of administrative, clerical, and financial tasks, including, if necessary, the use of financial systems for raising and paying invoices.
  • Management of multiple service inboxes, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Daily processing of incoming referrals and inputting them on our electronic case management system to a high level of accuracy
  • Arranging and attending regular multi-agency meetings including, coordination of room bookings, preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes. Also providing follow-up administrative support following the meetings.
  • Maintenance and updating of records, databases, and electronic filing systems in line with council processes.
  • Supporting with the preparation of documentation and materials for meetings and events.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR, data protection principles, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Exercising discretion when handling sensitive information, recognising legal and organisational responsibilities.
  • Assisting in the production, monitoring, and analysis of performance data and service indicators.
  • Working flexibly to support different locality offices and service priorities where required.
