The Governors and Head Teacher at Springwell Park Primary School are seeking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic and well organised person to work as part of the school admin team.

The successful candidate will provide an outstanding welcome to visitors to our school. They will be flexible, caring, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. The safety and well-being of our children is a priority and the successful candidate will be expected to take a role in the effective implementation of all school policies and procedures linked to safeguarding and child protection.

Main Purpose of the job:

  • To be an ambassador for the school, making all parents and visitors feel welcome.
  • To provide secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the senior leadership team, administration team and staff
  • To ‘Model’ excellent professional relationships with staff, children, parents and other professionals in the school environment
  • To manage the switchboard, ensuring phones are answered promptly and courteously and messages delivered to staff in a timely manner.
  • Applicants should have excellent ICT skills

The post is permanent, subject to a 6 month probationary period. The working hours are: 9am -1pm Monday – Friday Term time only.

Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)
