Job Title: Administrative Support Worker - Caring for Thurrock Business Team
Location: Thurrock
Salary: £27,435 - £29,715 (pro rata to hours worked as part-time)
Grade: B
Contract: Internal Secondment Opportunity or Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027
Hours: 22.2 hrs per week working 3 days per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Caring For Thurrock’s. Business Team to assist with administration tasks for the Service who provide support to the internal Care Teams of Thurrock Council. The Coordinators within the Business Team are responsible for training, IT projects, Provider Bank and Recruitment so tasks will be based around these areas.
The candidate will work 3 days a week, which will require flexibility in order to meet the needs of the business, and will be contracted 22.2hrs per week until 31st March 2027. To be successful in this role, the applicant will need to have previous experience of IT packages such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Excel, SharePoint and One Drive. Rostering system knowledge and experience would also be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work as part of a team and also to be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and use their own initiative within established procedures and processes to deliver a high quality service to our Clients with a person centred approach in line with the Care Act and Current Legislation within Adult Social Care.
The successful applicant will be required to attend mandatory training in areas that are relevant to the role. Shadowing will also be provided.

The post holder will need to be organised, have good timekeeping and be flexible on the base they work at which will regularly include working from the Civic Offices. Other bases include: Collins House, Piggs Corner, Cromwell Road and Corringham Integrated Medical and Wellbeing Centre so the successful applicant must be willing to navigate around the borough either by personal or public transport.
