    What is the job role?

    We are seeking an exceptional Administrative Assistant to join our team at John Shelton Primary. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing a professional front-of-house service, handling enquiries, and assisting pupils, staff, parents, and external agencies with efficiency and care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deal with internal and external telephone calls, filtering and taking messages as required
    • Collate and record pupil information on SchoolComms, including dietary requirements, free school meals, and dinner money payments
    • Maintain accurate pupil records on BROMCOM, ensuring data is relevant and up-to-date
    • Assist with the admissions process for Nursery, Reception, and whole-school admissions, liaising with relevant staff
    • Support the Business Manager with financial processes, including order input and payment procedures
    • Ensure financial audit requirements are followed throughout the payment process

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Proficient in the use of school management systems and Microsoft Office
    • Experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within an educational setting
