We are recruiting an Additional Learning Needs Coordinator at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st August 2026
Location: Ty Gilfach - EOTAS Secondary PRU

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £60,203 - £66,430 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • To work strategically with the senior leadership team and management committee to ensure that EOTAS provisions are meeting their responsibilities under the ALNET Act, the current SEN Code of Practice, the Draft Code (2018) and the Equality Act (2010).
  • To support school improvement, professional development and learning in relation to EOTAS and ALN.
  • To review EOTAS based provision on a regular basis
  • To take a strategic role in the planning and delivery of provision for children and young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) attending EOTAS settings.
  • To ensure that children and young people with Additional Learning Needs in EOTAS settings have their needs appropriately identified and met and they are supported to achieve their full potential.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 6 (Degree) qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales, Relevant additional qualification in SEN or ALN, and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • A successful track record of supporting children with ALN.
  • A wide range of teaching experience linked to SEN / ALN.
