About the Role

We are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts Payable and Receivables Team. The postholder will provide effective and efficient support across the payables and receivables functions, helping to ensure accurate processing, timely payments, and high standards of financial administration.

The role will involve processing invoices and payments, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reconciliation activities, and responding to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner.

You will work closely with colleagues across the finance team and wider organisation, contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes and supporting continuous improvement in ways of working.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a busy finance environment and build strong practical knowledge across accounts payable and receivable functions.

About the Person

You will be enthusiastic, motivated, and well organised, with a strong commitment to delivering accurate and timely work. You will be able to work effectively as part of a busy, collaborative team, demonstrating a positive attitude and a determination to achieve results while maintaining high professional standards.

You should have good attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines. Confidence in using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, will be important, along with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.

You will have good communication skills, enabling you to deal professionally and courteously with colleagues, suppliers, and customers. A flexible and proactive approach, coupled with a commitment to confidentiality and continuous improvement, will help you succeed in this role.
