A vacancy has arisen at Summerhill Primary School for a temporary Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Year 6. The pupil has complex learning needs and requires an adapted curriculum which the person will be required to support to deliver. Additionally, the person will be required to support other pupils through delivering intervention and targeted work linked to the SEND learning plans.

The position is from as soon as possible and is funded until 31st August 2026 the first instance.

The Governors of Summerhill Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant who is:

The post is for 30 hours. The working hours are Mondays to Fridays (8.45am-3.20pm) with half an hour unpaid lunch. The position is term time only and the salary will be pro-rata.

Due to the nature of work the post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
