Level 2 Teaching Assistant (with SEND Support)
30.5 hours per week | Permanent (subject to 6-month probation)
Salary: NJC Scale D, Points 5–6
Working Hours:
8:45am – 3:15pm daily (including break and lunchtime support), with an 8:15am start
each Monday for staff briefing.
We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to
provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child within our school. This is a rewarding
opportunity to play a vital role in helping a child access learning, build confidence and
thrive both academically and socially.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to implement
personalised support strategies, adapt learning activities and promote independence,
inclusion and positive wellbeing.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis, including pupils with
additional needs.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy and a nurturing approach.
- Be flexible, proactive and able to respond to the changing needs of the child.
- Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
- Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and achievement.
