Youth Offending Service Team Leader
About the Role:
As Team Leader, you will be part of a multi-agency service committed to early intervention, restorative practice, and contextual safeguarding under the Harm Outside the Home umbrella. This role provides operational leadership and supervision to Youth Justice practitioners, oversees risk and vulnerability management, safeguarding, and public protection. You will ensure compliance with Youth Justice Board standards and HMIP inspection frameworks.
About the Candidate:
The successful candidate will be a qualified professional with substantial experience in youth justice, safeguarding, and multi-agency working. You should have proven leadership and management skills with a strong understanding of criminal justice and childcare legislation. Based at Portsmouth International Port (PIP), and reporting to the Terminal Supervisor, the role works within the freight related areas of the Port, both within gate houses and outside within all areas of the Port. The main duties are: •	To control the entry and exit of vehicles to and from the Port via the site’s freight gates and as and where directed, elsewhere. An experienced Learning Officer is required to join the newly formed Croydon Heritage Service, working with Croydon Archives and Museum of Croydon collections and staff. The Officer will be responsible for developing a curriculum-linked heritage education offer for learners of all ages centred around Croydon’s rich heritage, to be delivered in the Museum, schools and community settings such as libraries. This offer will include facilitating visits to the Croydon Clocktower exhibitions, managing loan boxes of artefacts and developing resources for educators. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Compliance Surveyor to join our compliance team.
The role will have responsibility for asbestos management across our stock and is a critical role ensuring the safety of our residents and properties by carrying out asbestos and legionella surveys and inspections and managing a programme of surveys and risk assessments across our housing stock.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, a good communicator and Asbestos P405 qualified, with experience of managing asbestos and water across housing assets.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and supporting the delivery of safe and effective housing services. You will be required to manage the Asbestos register, ensuring access is achieved by contractors and that the register is always up to date. You will submit notifications to the HSE for notifiable asbestos works in a timely manner to ensure repairs, void and planned works are not delayed.

Personal Advisor Leaving Care - 12 month fixed term contract
About the Role:
Wirral Leaving Care Service is looking for a dynamic individual who is genuinely passionate about the welfare of our Care Leavers aged 16 - 25; and who will go the extra mile to ensure our young people are safe and achieve their full potential, in all respects.
About the Candidate:
Applicants should have experience of working with the 16 - 25 age group and have a relevant qualification at A-Level or higher. This is an exciting period when Personal Advisors will continue to work with their own individual caseload of young people aged 16 to 25; but also develop, support, participate in and lead project work with groups of young people and other professionals.
Wirral Leaving Care Service was the subject of an Ofsted focused visit in 2024 and has made considerable progress. We are determined to continue to make further progress and improve the support we offer to our young people.
We have a dedicated Hub building for our Care Leavers in central Birkenhead, 'Our Space' / N0 19, which has become the focus and location for much of our new developments, services, and our Leaving Care community.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Rates Officer to join our Revenues Team.
This is a challenging but rewarding role; annual legislative changes require you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing demands. You will need to prioritise your workload effectively and be capable of tackling problems and implementing solutions. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
On a day-to-day basis, your role will be to provide an efficient service to all businesses within the Ribble Valley. You will ensure effective administration of billing and collection of business rates in accordance with statutory provisions and local procedures. You will liaise with the Valuation Office Agency on rateable value amendments and update the database accordingly.
Whilst knowledge of business rates legislation is essential, previous experience of working in a Local Authority Revenues role is not, although it would be advantageous.

About the Role

About You

The role would particularly suit someone who is looking to build on their existing landscaping and arboriculture knowledge. About the role
As our Lead Bereavement Services Administrator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of Bereavement Services administration and the supervision of the administration staff within Bereavement Services.
You’ll be doing a range of tasks from financial administration and developing effective organisational systems through to ensuring all burial and cremation activities are managed with competence and efficiency, carrying out Sexton duties and deputising for the Bereavement Services Manager when needed.

About you
You’ll need to have an understanding of the technical aspects of the Cremation and Cemeteries Service and have completed or are willing to work towards relevant ICCM and FBCA Cemetery and Crematoria qualifications.
Alongside this you’ll need extensive experience in administrative tasks including managing records, handling paperwork, budgeting, supervising staff and working within a statutory framework and codes of practice.
Above all, you’ll need to have a high level of customer focus and an ability to communicate sensitive, complex and challenging information effectively across a variety of organisations and individuals, all while working well under pressure.
A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential.

Candidate Requirements

<li>You are knowledgable about the Child First framework, trauma informed approaches. It is also desireable that you have knowledge of relevant criminal youth justice legislation, National Standards for Children in Youth Justice and Youth Justice Board best practice guidance.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You are familiar with Restorative Justice and the support that victims of crime need.</li>
<li>You can relate and engage with children and families, who have often experienced trauma.</li>
