The role will have responsibility for asbestos management across our stock and is a critical role ensuring the safety of our residents and properties by carrying out asbestos and legionella surveys and inspections and managing a programme of surveys and risk assessments across our housing stock.
The candidate must be enthusiastic, a good communicator and Asbestos P405 qualified, with experience of managing asbestos and water across housing assets.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and supporting the delivery of safe and effective housing services. You will be required to manage the Asbestos register, ensuring access is achieved by contractors and that the register is always up to date. You will submit notifications to the HSE for notifiable asbestos works in a timely manner to ensure repairs, void and planned works are not delayed.

An experienced Outreach Officer is required to join the newly formed Croydon Heritage Service. The Officer will work with Croydon Archives and Museum of Croydon collections and staff and be responsible for developing a strong strategy for engagement and building equitable, long-term relationships with local organisations and groups. We aim to embed community participation in our practice and the Outreach Officer role will be crucial in widening access to collections and ensuring our communities are involved in all aspects of our work – in collections development, exhibition design, research, education delivery and public programming.&nbsp;
We are looking for a motivated heritage professional with experience working in an outreach role in a museum, archive or cultural heritage setting, preferably within a localised service. An interest in history and heritage is crucial, and a desire to learn more about the fascinating and diverse story of Croydon. Wirral Leaving Care Service is looking for a dynamic individual who is genuinely passionate about the welfare of our Care Leavers aged 16 - 25; and who will go the extra mile to ensure our young people are safe and achieve their full potential, in all respects.
About the Candidate:
Applicants should have experience of working with the 16 - 25 age group and have a relevant qualification at A-Level or higher. This is an exciting period when Personal Advisors will continue to work with their own individual caseload of young people aged 16 to 25; but also develop, support, participate in and lead project work with groups of young people and other professionals.
Wirral Leaving Care Service was the subject of an Ofsted focused visit in 2024 and has made considerable progress. We are determined to continue to make further progress and improve the support we offer to our young people.
We have a dedicated Hub building for our Care Leavers in central Birkenhead, 'Our Space' / N0 19, which has become the focus and location for much of our new developments, services, and our Leaving Care community.

About the role

As our Lead Bereavement Services Administrator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of Bereavement Services administration and the supervision of the administration staff within Bereavement Services.
&nbsp;
You’ll be doing a range of tasks from financial administration and developing effective organisational systems through to ensuring all burial and cremation activities are managed with competence and efficiency, carrying out Sexton duties and deputising for the Bereavement Services Manager when needed.
&nbsp;
The role is varied but demanding with periods of high pressure working within a statutory framework and following codes of practice. It will involve working at Rainsbrook Crematorium as well as within all other Rugby Borough Council Cemeteries.
&nbsp;
This role is site based 5 days a week and will require you to work some evenings and weekends to meet specific demands and ensure service continuity.

About you
&nbsp;
You’ll need to have an understanding of the technical aspects of the Cremation and Cemeteries Service and have completed or are willing to work towards relevant ICCM and FBCA Cemetery and Crematoria qualifications.
&nbsp;
Alongside this you’ll need extensive experience in administrative tasks including managing records, handling paperwork, budgeting, supervising staff and working within a statutory framework and codes of practice.
&nbsp;
Above all, you’ll need to have a high level of customer focus and an ability to communicate sensitive, complex and challenging information effectively across a variety of organisations and individuals, all while working well under pressure.

A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential.

About the Role
The Council is looking to recruit someone who is interested in furthering their career in Local Government and able to help us to deliver a high-quality service by providing professional support and advice on tree preservation including contributing to planning applications, appeals and other related arborcultural and landscape issues.&nbsp;
The successful candidate will assist in the analysis of submitted planning applications and supporting information, to determine the impact and inform the planning decision making process and provide advice and guidance to planning officers.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
About You
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they have either experience or qualifications to deal efficiently and effectively with Tree Preservation Orders, tree work applications, High Hedges and Conservation Area Notices of Intent. The role would particularly suit someone who is looking to build on their existing landscaping and arboriculture knowledge. The successful candidate will be looking to learn and develop in the following areas:

<li>negotiation of improvements to applications and attach appropriate conditions</li>
<li>understanding and communicating risks associated with applications relating to protected trees</li>
<li>understanding the value trees bring to communities</li>
<li>helping to maintain the landscape profile and character of the Borough.&nbsp;</li>

<li>We work with children who are at risk of offending or who have already offended to reduce the chances they will offend again and support them achieve their full potential.</li>
<li>In your role, you will have to write an assessment of the child and co-produce and intervention plan with them. All your work with the child has to be timely recorded.&nbsp;There is a lot of case management and record keeping is an essential part of our job.</li>
<li>We have a duty to safeguard our children whilst also protecting the public: safety assessments, safety management and safeguarding and welfare of the children we work with is an essential aspect of our role.</li>
<li>We work in a multi-agency team and context: we support children as part of a network so you must be good communicating with others to overcome barriers and achieve better outcomes for our children.</li>

Candidate Requirements

<li>There is an essential requirement for this role to have a&nbsp;qualification in Social Work, Probation Services or Professional Certificate in Effective Practice (PCEP). Consideration for candidates without qualification will only be on the basis of them being currently employed as a youth justice worker in another service and to have held that post for a minimum of 6 months. For this particular role, candidates with a Teaching Qualification will also be considered, as well as anyone who has current experience of working with children in schools.&nbsp; Candidates that do not meet this essential requirement will not be shortlisted.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You are knowledgable about the Child First framework, trauma informed approaches. It is also desireable that you have knowledge of relevant criminal youth justice legislation, National Standards for Children in Youth Justice and Youth Justice Board best practice guidance.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You are familiar with Restorative Justice and the support that victims of crime need.</li>
<li>You can relate and engage with children and families, who have often experienced trauma.</li>

We are seeking a Psychotherapists or Counsellor to join the HealthyWay Plus team. You will be required to contribute and deliver an evidence-based weight management programme to improve health and wellbeing in Medway by supporting the achievement of local and national strategies relating to Public Health.
