We are looking to recruit an Administration Officer who will work as part of our Environmental Health team based at the Dartford Civic Centre offices.
As an Administration Officer, you will be part of a friendly team that makes a difference in protecting the public’s health and safety. Amongst other things, our team is responsible for food hygiene inspections, health and safety at work, stray dogs, pest control, noise complaints and air quality monitoring. Reporting directly to the Technical Administrator, the post holder will support them in the administration duties for the team.
Duties will include dealing with customers both face to face and over the phone, monitoring the team’s email, taking electronic payments, maintaining stock of resources, ordering equipment, financial administration, updating our databases and other general housekeeping duties.

<h2>About the role</h2>
The Head of Financial Scrutiny role will oversee the scrutiny work for around half of the Assembly’s Committees, including the Budget and Performance Committee and Audit Panel. &nbsp;The position leads a team of around 10 scrutiny researchers to deliver high quality scrutiny work in a wide-range of projects, research, briefings, reports and outputs for the London Assembly, its committees and its Members. 
As Head of Financial Scrutiny, you will also be responsible for planning and delivering high quality budget scrutiny during the Mayor’s annual budget cycle, and also developing broader financial scrutiny work across the year. &nbsp;You will support policy researchers within the wider Scrutiny team to include financial scrutiny in their work. 
This role is a varied one. It will have responsibility for overseeing the Budget and Audit Committee teams. However, it will also oversee some broader Committee scrutiny work that has no direct financial element. 
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a committee staff on some of the most important committees in the London Assembly, and to have tangible impact on the delivery of scrutiny work and the transformation of financial scrutiny in the team. 
We are looking for someone with excellent research, analysis and drafting skills and experience of using them in a senior role. You should be&nbsp;fluent in managing and handling complex data and&nbsp;have the ability to create and/or edit high quality written briefings and reports. Mansfield District Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced full-time Theatre Technician to join the Palace Theatre Technical team on a maternity cover contract.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for theatre and the technical expertise to support a wide range of performances. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of events on our busy main stage, as well as occasionally supporting activities at Mansfield Museum or offsite venues.
As part of the role, you will provide technical support for incoming professional productions, amateur companies, and dance or performance school shows. You will be responsible for briefing visiting technical teams and performers on health and safety procedures, operating and managing lighting systems during events, and offering technical expertise in sound, AV, stage management, and ideally rigging.
We are seeking someone with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in theatre lighting, together with some experience in sound, AV, stage work, and preferably rigging. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with visiting companies and performers to ensure their technical needs are met. A proactive and flexible approach is also important, as you will be working in a busy theatre environment.
This is a full-time maternity cover position, with hours that are variable in line with the demands of the theatre’s performance schedule.

Key responsibilities:

<li>Assess and review the complex needs of people and their carers under the Care Act 2014, offering advice, guidance, and access to the right support to keep them safe and well.</li>
<li>Use a strengths-based, person-centred approach, building respectful relationships and ensuring dignity, cultural needs, communication needs, and personal choices are always recognised.</li>
<li>Carry out specialist assessments of daily activities, including eating, communication, posture, seating, home environment, equipment, transport, and community access.</li>
<li>Use strong knowledge of adaptations and accessible environments, including building regulations, housing adaptations, and relevant legislation like the Disabled Facilities Grant.</li>
<li>Complete manual handling risk assessments and provide safe equipment and interventions in line with Health and Safety requirements and best practice guidelines.</li>

Candidate requirements:

We are looking for a motivated, well organised and proactive individual with a strong commitment to helping customers to join our team as a Senior Planning and Building Control Technician. The role involves assisting Planning Officers in the processing of planning applications and managing planning and enforcement appeals including Public Inquiries and Hearings.
The successful applicant will assist in vetting planning applications and other applications, check Building Control applications to identify potential breaches in planning legislation and carry out Tree Preservation Order checks, as well as answering a variety of basic planning enquiries from members of the public.
Applicants will need to be a team player, as well as able to manage their workloads to ensure deadlines are met. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail, along with the ability to interpret detailed information, plans and planning legislation. The post holder will have a good understanding of town planning and development processes and excellent IT skills.
Interviews are currently scheduled for the week commencing 19th January.
