The Role

As part of the UK’s Resource and Waste Strategy 2018, the ambition was set to hit 65% municipal recycling by 2035. To aid this, in 2023 the Department for Environment, Food &amp; Rural Affairs (DEFRA) introduced Simpler Recycling with the aim of removing confusion around what can and cannot be recycled. About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen to join a respected Housing Team within Wirral Council. We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Housing Options Officer / Homeless Assessment &amp; Prevention Officer to provide homeless prevention advice &amp; assistance to households who are threatened with homelessness and to assess and process homelessness applications made under current legislation.
About the candidate:
We would like to hear from you if you have knowledge of homeless legislation (Part VII of the Housing Act 1996/2002 and the Homeless Reduction Act 2018) and experience of developing personalised housing plans.
You will have had experience of working within a homeless/housing environment and managing a demanding caseload, carrying out assessments and investigations in line with legislation. This will include the use of prevention tools to sustain existing housing or secure suitable and affordable alternative accommodation.
You must be able to investigate issues, in a sensitive manner, accurately record statements and findings and effectively negotiate resolutions with accommodation providers and landlords, to prevent homelessness.
Preferably you will have experience of using the LOCATA HPA2 system.

About the Role&nbsp; As a&nbsp;Health Trainer, you will&nbsp;be responsible for:&nbsp; <ul> <li>Organising, managing and delivering healthy lifestyle one-to-one and group interventions, to help individuals identify risk factors&nbsp;that may be affecting their own health and wellbeing, using behaviour change techniques to facilitate appropriate lifestyle advice to reduce risk. Health Trainer (Part-Time)

The RoleThe HOST Team is looking to recruit a committed and experienced Homelessness Officer to fill a vacancy within the Housing Options and Homelessness Service. This is a frontline role based in the HOST Complex Team, which supports single clients with complex needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the office, delivering face-to-face homelessness assessments and providing tailored housing advice and support.
