Our Heritage Service has an exciting opportunity for a Documentation Assistant to join our small collections team.
The Heritage Service is responsible for the care of collections held across Guildford Museum, Guildford House Gallery, the Guildhall and our offsite store. The collections cover a range of categories and disciplines, including archaeology, needlework and textiles, social and local history, and art.
Working across our sites and at our offsite store, you will document and digitise objects in our collection to ‘Spectrum’ standards on our Collections Management System Collections Index+. Other duties may include carrying out object research, dealing with public enquiries and assisting with collection projects.
A demonstrable interest in museums and/or heritage sites and knowledge of museum documentation processes and standards are essential. Evidence of collections documentation experience and an ability to input data with a high level of accuracy should be demonstrated within your application. Some experience of using a museum collections management system and supervising volunteers are desirable.

About the role:
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Systems Team Manager to lead the Children’s Social Work and Education Systems team within our centralised Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) function.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring our core systems: LiquidLogic (LCS, EHM, EYES), ContrOCC, and associated web portals are effectively supported, continuously improved, and aligned with both national and local priorities.
You will lead and manage a team of system professionals, including two System Leads and a wider team of 7 system support officers and act as the internal product owner for key systems, overseeing system enhancements, user engagement, and supplier relationships.
You will coordinate and deliver a high-quality support service for information and case management systems across Children’s Social Work and Education and run user groups, gather and prioritise requirements, and ensure systems are accessible, fit for purpose, and compliant with statutory requirements.
You will have responsibility for liaising with suppliers to escalate tickets and drive service improvements whilst ensuring robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place. The role will support financial processes and system interfaces with corporate finance systems whilst providing specialist advice, training, and guidance to users and stakeholders. You will also be required to manage budgets and contribute to strategic planning and project delivery, including new initiatives such as AI functionality to optimise case work.
About the candidate:

The Revenue Officer will be part of a team responsible for the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates. Reporting to the Revenues Team Leader, the Revenues Officer will support the Customer Service team by providing advice and support for Council Tax and Business Rates queries. The role will also help to maintain our records so that we can issue bills promptly and accurately. This will include:

· Granting exemptions and discounts
· Taking payments
· Answering both written and verbal enquiries

Previous experience of working within a Revenues/Customer Service environment is desirable although not essential, as full training is provided.
