What is the job role? This is a varied role which supports the Team Managers and Officers in ensuring through quality checking that legislation and procedures have been applied and liabilities, reliefs, discounts and exemptions are correct. The primary focus will be Business Rates, however knowledge of Council Tax and Enforcement are desirable. We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Revenues Officer to join our team. You will play a key role in the administration and collection of Council Tax and Business Rates, ensuring compliance with legislation while delivering excellent service to residents and businesses.

<li>Billing &amp; Collection: Accurately process Council Tax and Business Rates accounts, including setting up new accounts, issuing bills, and managing amendments.</li>
<li>Customer Service: Provide clear, professional advice to customers via phone, email, and in person, resolving queries promptly and effectively.</li>
<li>Debt Recovery: Implement recovery procedures for unpaid accounts, including reminders, summonses, and enforcement action in line with statutory requirements.</li>
<li>Data Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across all systems.</li>
<li>Compliance: Apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure fair and consistent treatment of all customers.</li>

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Registered Building Inspector to join our Local Authority’s Building Control team. You’ll join a busy team and play a key role in ensuring that building work across our borough complies with the relevant legislation and technical guidance documents. The service is working to QMS standards (accredited to ISO 9001 2015) for the provision of public sector building control and public protection.
Key Responsibilities

About the Role:
The Senior Information Governance Officer role is responsible for providing advice and assistance in relation to complex Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) and Data Protection (DP) requests for information.&nbsp; The post is based within the Information Governance team which is part of Law &amp; Corporate Services Directorate.&nbsp; The role supports the work of the Data Protection Officer and the Deputy Data Protection Officer.&nbsp; This role works across all Council Directorates and is pivotal in ensuring the Council’s compliance with legislative requirements.
About the candidate:
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills.&nbsp; You will be required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of time sensitive information requests. The ability to work on your own initiative but also to work collaboratively as part of a team is key.&nbsp; Your role will provide advice and guidance across the Council to all Directorates.&nbsp; The successful candidate will be required to have an excellent working knowledge of FOI, EIR and DP Legislation and experience of working in an Information Governance role.
