About the role:
We are looking to appoint 2 self-motivated and ambitious registered Building Control Surveyors to join our highly professional and successful Building Control Team.
You will need to hold min Class 2F or 3 registrations with the Building Safety Regulator and have Chartered Member, Member or Fellow Chartered Member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) or alternative acceptable professional body.
You will be responsible for undertaking plan assessment, site inspections and enforcement work across a wide spectrum of works ranging from small domestic projects up to large complex commercial developments subject to the Registration class of the successful candidate.
In addition, the role involves assessing and undertaking any reasonable actions to protect the public from dangerous structures, unauthorised works, demolition work and works that form obstructions to the public highway and participation in the Councils out of hours emergency call out service.
About the candidate:
You will have substantial experience and understanding of the role and functions of Building Control and have a sound knowledge of the Building Regulations, Approved Documents, allied legislation and enforcement procedures.
You’ll have experience of dealing with dangerous buildings and structures and implementing enforcement action when necessary.
Hold Corporate Membership of CABE / RICS or acceptable alternative.
You’ll need to hold Class 2F or 3 Registration with the Building Safety Regulator in respect of Plans assessment and inspection activities.
You’ll need to be able to participate in the Councils out of hours emergency call out service.
You will possess excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills and be able to work both individually and as part of a team.
You will hold a full, valid driving licence and have unrestricted use of a suitable vehicle for business purposes or be able to otherwise demonstrate the ability to travel to locations in an efficient and timely manner.

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented&nbsp;Information Governance Officer&nbsp;to join our friendly, supportive team at London Borough of Redbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the Council meets its legal and regulatory obligations in relation to&nbsp;data protection, information security, and records management.
You will support the delivery of our Information Governance Framework, working across departments to promote best practices, manage data protection risks, and provide assistance and guidance to staff across the Council on information requests under FOI, EIR, and Subject Access provisions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
We're looking for someone who is:
<ul>
<li>Knowledgeable in UK data protection and information rights legislation.</li>
<li>Experienced in handling FOI, EIR, and SARs in a public sector or similar environment.</li>
<li>A strong communicator with excellent organisational and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Able to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.</li>
<li>Ideally holding or working towards a relevant qualification (e.g., ISEB/CIPP/E or equivalent).</li>

About the Role:
As Strategic Senior Manager – Libraries and Information Services, you will ensure that the Councils statutory duties with respect to library provision, are satisfactorily discharged. You will effectively manage associated budgets, lead and motivate a team and engage strategic partners in the development of projects and proposals.
About the Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual to join our team and lead on the provision of a forward thinking, transformative and efficient library service. You will need to demonstrate experience of leadership, service development, advancement of customer focussed technology systems, and knowledge of operational delivery of a frontline public service.
You will be a resilient, tenacious, and experienced professional who has experience working on transformational projects that improve outcomes for both residents and the Council. You will have experience of managing and developing people to deliver exceptional customer service within either a local authority or private sector setting and a proven track record of turning strategy into deliverables as well as managing and reporting on service performance and financial management.
