We have an opening for an Assistant Team Manager to join us, initially in our Children We Care For team (Here4U). This role will be pivotal in supporting our Children We Care For Team (Here4U) by collaborating with the wider service, relentlessly focussing on child centred systemic practice, and bringing strong line management leadership skills. You will be able to make a real impact in how the team embeds new ways of working with children and families, and be involved in the reshaping of the services we provide.
The main focus of this Assistant Team Manager role, will be to manage a small team of Social Workers, who ensure that the needs of our children are being met with long term aspirations for their lives. Your role of Assistant Team Manager during this planned service transformation, will be to support your team of Social Workers through a period of change as an informed and experienced professional. You will also have more opportunities to work alongside our other Social Work teams in a collaborative and energetic way, as the service reshapes and evolves through the redesign process.

As Team Leader, you will be part of a multi-agency service committed to early intervention, restorative practice, and contextual safeguarding under the Harm Outside the Home umbrella. Based at Portsmouth International Port (PIP), and reporting to the Terminal Supervisor, the role works within the freight related areas of the Port, both within gate houses and outside within all areas of the Port. The main duties are: •	To control the entry and exit of vehicles to and from the Port via the site’s freight gates and as and where directed, elsewhere. An experienced Learning Officer is required to join the newly formed Croydon Heritage Service, working with Croydon Archives and Museum of Croydon collections and staff. The Officer will be responsible for developing a curriculum-linked heritage education offer for learners of all ages centred around Croydon’s rich heritage, to be delivered in the Museum, schools and community settings such as libraries. This offer will include facilitating visits to the Croydon Clocktower exhibitions, managing loan boxes of artefacts and developing resources for educators. The Officer will also be responsible for contributing to children and family activities in school holidays, and facilitating co-curation of Heritage Service exhibitions with schools.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a track record of shaping and delivering an educational offer in a museum, archive or cultural heritage setting, preferably within a localised service. A qualification in Museum Education, teaching or similar is essential, as is a demonstratable interest in history and heritage, and a desire to learn more about the fascinating and diverse story of Croydon. We are looking for a strong self-starter familiar with the barriers schools face in accessing museum resources, with excellent networking and partnership skills. Personal Advisor Leaving Care - 12 month fixed term contract
About the Role:
Wirral Leaving Care Service is looking for a dynamic individual who is genuinely passionate about the welfare of our Care Leavers aged 16 - 25; and who will go the extra mile to ensure our young people are safe and achieve their full potential, in all respects.
About the Candidate:
Applicants should have experience of working with the 16 - 25 age group and have a relevant qualification at A-Level or higher. This is an exciting period when Personal Advisors will continue to work with their own individual caseload of young people aged 16 to 25; but also develop, support, participate in and lead project work with groups of young people and other professionals.
Wirral Leaving Care Service was the subject of an Ofsted focused visit in 2024 and has made considerable progress. We are determined to continue to make further progress and improve the support we offer to our young people.
We have a dedicated Hub building for our Care Leavers in central Birkenhead, 'Our Space' / N0 19, which has become the focus and location for much of our new developments, services, and our Leaving Care community.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Rates Officer to join our Revenues Team.
This is a challenging but rewarding role; annual legislative changes require you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing demands. You will need to prioritise your workload effectively and be capable of tackling problems and implementing solutions. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
On a day-to-day basis, your role will be to provide an efficient service to all businesses within the Ribble Valley. You will ensure effective administration of billing and collection of business rates in accordance with statutory provisions and local procedures. You will liaise with the Valuation Office Agency on rateable value amendments and update the database accordingly.
Whilst knowledge of business rates legislation is essential, previous experience of working in a Local Authority Revenues role is not, although it would be advantageous.

About the Role
The Council is looking to recruit someone who is interested in furthering their career in Local Government and able to help us to deliver a high-quality service by providing professional support and advice on tree preservation including contributing to planning applications, appeals and other related arborcultural and landscape issues.&nbsp;
The successful candidate will assist in the analysis of submitted planning applications and supporting information, to determine the impact and inform the planning decision making process and provide advice and guidance to planning officers.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
About You
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate they have either experience or qualifications to deal efficiently and effectively with Tree Preservation Orders, tree work applications, High Hedges and Conservation Area Notices of Intent. The role would particularly suit someone who is looking to build on their existing landscaping and arboriculture knowledge. The successful candidate will be looking to learn and develop in the following areas:

<li>understanding and communicating risks associated with applications relating to protected trees</li>

About the role
As our Lead Bereavement Services Administrator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of Bereavement Services administration and the supervision of the administration staff within Bereavement Services.
You’ll be doing a range of tasks from financial administration and developing effective organisational systems through to ensuring all burial and cremation activities are managed with competence and efficiency, carrying out Sexton duties and deputising for the Bereavement Services Manager when needed.
The role is varied but demanding with periods of high pressure working within a statutory framework and following codes of practice. It will involve working at Rainsbrook Crematorium as well as within all other Rugby Borough Council Cemeteries.
This role is site based 5 days a week and will require you to work some evenings and weekends to meet specific demands and ensure service continuity.

About you
You’ll need to have an understanding of the technical aspects of the Cremation and Cemeteries Service and have completed or are willing to work towards relevant ICCM and FBCA Cemetery and Crematoria qualifications.
Alongside this you’ll need extensive experience in administrative tasks including managing records, handling paperwork, budgeting, supervising staff and working within a statutory framework and codes of practice.
Above all, you’ll need to have a high level of customer focus and an ability to communicate sensitive, complex and challenging information effectively across a variety of organisations and individuals, all while working well under pressure.
A full driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential.

<li>In your role, you will have to write an assessment of the child and co-produce and intervention plan with them. All your work with the child has to be timely recorded.&nbsp;There is a lot of case management and record keeping is an essential part of our job.</li>
<li>We have a duty to safeguard our children whilst also protecting the public: safety assessments, safety management and safeguarding and welfare of the children we work with is an essential aspect of our role.</li>
<li>We work in a multi-agency team and context: we support children as part of a network so you must be good communicating with others to overcome barriers and achieve better outcomes for our children.</li>
<li>Our role involves adherence to many pieces of legislation, frameworks, and guidance which you will have to learn and become familiar with to be able to deliver your role.</li>

Candidate Requirements
<ul>
<li>There is an essential requirement for this role to have a&nbsp;qualification in Social Work, Probation Services or Professional Certificate in Effective Practice (PCEP). Consideration for candidates without qualification will only be on the basis of them being currently employed as a youth justice worker in another service and to have held that post for a minimum of 6 months. For this particular role, candidates with a Teaching Qualification will also be considered, as well as anyone who has current experience of working with children in schools.&nbsp; Candidates that do not meet this essential requirement will not be shortlisted.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You are knowledgable about the Child First framework, trauma informed approaches. It is also desireable that you have knowledge of relevant criminal youth justice legislation, National Standards for Children in Youth Justice and Youth Justice Board best practice guidance.&nbsp;</li>
<li>You are familiar with Restorative Justice and the support that victims of crime need.</li>
<li>You can relate and engage with children and families, who have often experienced trauma.</li>
<li>You have experience of working with partners to improve outcomes for children.</li>
<li>You are able to write in an analytical and critical way, interpreting and analysing facts to produce reports and assessments for different audiences.</li>
<li>You will need to work to tight deadlines, in a fast paced, varied and rapidly changing environment and keep accurate and timely records.</li>
<li>You will be dynamic, adaptable, resilient and responsive to change to legislation and guidance, the various aspects of your role and children's circumstances.</li>
<li>You will have the experience of and ability to processing significant amount of written information (i.e. legislation, frameworks).</li>
