PACT is one of the UK’s leading independent adoption charities, placing children with secure and loving families and supporting them with specialist therapeutic support.
Our external Adoption Panel Members play a vital role at PACT by carefully considering applications from those wishing to become adoptive parents. We are currently seeking an independent Adoption Panel Chair, to lead our online panel in making fair, informed recommendation outcomes to a high quality standard.
You will bring an understanding of the adoption process, gained from professional or personal experience, and will be competently skilled in chairing complex meetings. You’ll be capable of facilitating active participation and ensure the panel operates within a clear regulatory and policy framework.

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Digital Services Team and provide expert analysis that will directly influence future service models, systems and ways of working. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of local governments most significant changes. As Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) and devolution reshape&nbsp;how services are delivered, Chelmsford is at the centre of that transformation.
As a Business Analyst you will support the successful delivery of the Council’s LGR and devolution programmes, acting as a critical link between service areas, programme teams and technical colleagues. The role involves working with services and stakeholders to understand current operations, define future-state service models and identify opportunities for improvement, integration and efficiency. This includes leading investigative and analysis work to onboard and enhance services on the Council’s Microsoft Dynamics platform and other digital solutions.
Additional responsibilities include the gathering, analysis and documentation of business requirements to inform service redesign, systems integration and transformation as well as the mapping and analysis of ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ processes across complex, multi-service environments. This is a hands-on Business Analyst role requiring excellent communication skills, strong analytical capability and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders. The GLA Community Engagement (CE) team connects City Hall to London’s exciting mix of communities. Everything we do is geared towards giving London’s communities a platform to be seen, heard and resourced to bring about change, and to be more actively engaged in the City’s decision making. The CE team also leads the GLA’s civil society policy, which is focused on recognising, supporting and building strong partnerships with London’s Voluntary sector.
<h2>About the role</h2>
The Research and Information Officer will support the team to engage effectively with London’s diverse communities by championing and implementing ways to strengthen the use of internal data for evaluation and learning purposes. The role will provide monitoring, evaluation and learning support to CE team’s programme workstreams, ensuring that priorities are identified, and consistent monitoring, analysis and evaluation of activities takes place. The role will also support the CE team’s communications strategy programme by leading on communicating the community engagement team’s work through a range of channels including Mayor’s Community Newsletter, internal reports, blogs and website updates.

<h2>What your day will look like</h2>
&nbsp;
1. Working closely with community engagement officers to identify and plan the team’s evaluation and communication needs. Current focus will be on Loved and Wanted Fund.
2. Supporting the team to research relevant policy updates related to Civil Society portfolio of our work.
3. Supporting team on any faith engagement events, and act as lead/co-lead for a faith community.
4. Capturing and communicating the community engagement team’s work via the newsletter, contributing to the Mayor’s monthly report, internal reports, blogs, website updates.
5. Responding appropriately to correspondence and act as an initial point of contact for Londoners and London’s communities and feed these into relevant policy teams.

About the Role
The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is recruiting for a highly experienced Events Manager. You will lead a diverse, high‑profile programme of corporate and city region events—ranging from conferences, international summits and ministerial visits to cultural moments, launches and project milestones. You will own end‑to‑end delivery: setting objectives, shaping concepts, building timelines, managing budgets and ensuring each event reflects our brand, values and mission.
This role will report to the Head of Corporate Affairs and will manage an Events Officer and co-ordinate multi-disciplinary colleagues across multiple concurrent events.
Key responsibilities will include event planning &amp; delivery, corporate affairs integration, venues and logistics, programmes and content, supplier management, promotion and marketing, on site leadership, promotion and marketing of core events, evaluation and insight to measure ROI and inform continuous improvement.

We’re looking for someone with relevant qualification in public relations, events or engagement or equivalent professional experience. A proven track record in planning and delivering complex events in a local authority, public sector or corporate setting. You’re a collaborative stakeholder able to build relationships across senior internal and external audiences.
With supplier and budget management experience you are extremely confident and negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money. You’ll excel when it comes to attention to detail and be highly astute at multi-tasking multiple workstreams simultaneously. All fully complemented by data collection techniques and performance measurement inform decision making and evaluate impact.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join us as Head of Regulatory Services and Community Safety.Reporting to the Assistant Director for Culture, Rural and Safer Communities, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for our Regulatory Services and Community Safety teams which includes responsibility for the Safety of Sports Grounds and the Joint Coroner’s Service.You will be required to work effectively in partnership to influence others and will play a key role in shaping and delivering frontline services that keep people safe, protect vulnerable communities, and enable residents to thrive.You will be based in Stafford with the opportunity to work from home subject to business requirements. Main Responsibilities Our Trading Standards&nbsp;service has responsibility for the enforcement of regulation and legislation. The service supports businesses to grow by ensuring a sustainable trading environment through the provision of compliance advice whilst taking enforcement actions against doorstep criminals to keep people safe and protect vulnerable communities in Staffordshire from harm.Our&nbsp;Community Safety&nbsp;team collaborates with partners to ensure Staffordshire is a place where people can live safely and ensure that the County Council meets its statutory responsibilities.You will provide professional support for partnership activity and community safety governance groups including chairing Staffordshire’s Prevent Partnership Board and representing the County Council at the CONTEST Board.You will ensure effective commissioning arrangements for the service and will&nbsp;develop and deliver strategies, policies, and partnership plans to improve outcomes for Staffordshire residents by inspiring and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and value for money.The Ideal Candidate You should hold a degree and postgraduate qualifications in at least one of the following: criminology, sociology, community justice, public services, law, business, consumer protection, or have extensive experience in Regulatory Services or Community Safety.
