We have an excellent opportunity for a Service Delivery Officer to join our Children's Service Delivery team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a split role supporting both the Residential Homes and the Finance Officer within the Fostering service.

As a Service Delivery Officer, you will collaborate with our front-line practitioners and actively participate in the development and enhancement of services to better serve children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Registered Manager and team in facilitating multi-agency statutory meetings, answering calls and emails, and managing inboxes
• Overseeing all areas of finance for the service, collating key performance indicators and essential data for Ofsted inspections
• Assisting the service in making sure all necessary documentation is recorded and stored on the system, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
• Assisting the Fostering Finance Officer with financial assessments to support adoption and special guardianship order allowance decisions, and assisting with the coordination of payment runs for our carers.

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• A high level of written and oral communication skills
• Sound knowledge of financial processes, with strong numeracy skills and the ability to manage financial information accurately
• Experience of minuting/recording of high-level meetings
• Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information
• The ability to work under pressure
