Housing Policy and Performance Manager
Ashford Borough Council is looking for an ambitious, analytical, and people-focused Housing Policy and Performance Manager to play a key role in the future success of our Housing Service.
This is not a role for someone who simply writes policies and monitors performance reports. We are looking for someone who can turn insight into action, challenge existing ways of working, and help us continuously improve services for our tenants.
Working within our Performance, Improvement and Engagement Team, you will lead the development and review of housing policies, oversee our Housing Continuous Improvement Plan, and use data, performance information, tenant feedback, and complaints learning to drive meaningful service improvements.
The social housing sector is undergoing significant change. New regulatory requirements, increased scrutiny, and rising customer expectations mean housing providers must continually evolve.
This role sits at the centre of that challenge. You'll work closely with housing managers, tenant engagement colleagues, and senior leaders to ensure our services remain compliant, customer focused, and evidence led. Your work will directly influence how we deliver services to thousands of residents and how we demonstrate compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing's Consumer Standards.
If you're motivated by making a genuine difference and enjoy turning complex information into practical improvements, this could be the perfect opportunity.
You'll also manage a small team of Business and Insight Analysts, helping develop a high-performing, evidence-led culture.
At Ashford Borough Council, we're committed to delivering a high-quality housing services and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
You'll join a supportive and collaborative team where your ideas will be valued, and your work will have a visible impact on both services and residents.
If you're passionate about improving housing services, enjoy working with data and people in equal measure, and want to help shape the future of social housing, we'd love to hear from you. Come and help us make a real difference for our tenants and communities.
