About Us

Delivery Manager

£46,206 - £55,992

Fixed term until 31st August 2028

Full time

Hybrid – with travel across five boroughs

Objective of role

You will lead the design, development and delivery of high-impact careers, skills and employer engagement programmes across South London, through the South London Careers Hub, helping shape a more connected and equitable system for young people.

Working at the intersection of education and employment you will translate strategy into practical delivery models that improve outcomes for young people, particularly those at risk of becoming NEET and strengthen career and skill provision across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced programme leader who can combine strategic thinking with delivery expertise, influencing partners across the system and ensuring innovative approaches are scaled to maximise impact.

Based within the South London Careers Hub, you will play a key role in shaping how schools, colleges, employers, VCSE and local authorities work together to improve careers education, work experience and progression opportunities for young people

About the role

As Delivery Manager you will:

  • Lead the design, development and continuous improvement of careers and skills programmes across South London.
  • Translate policy, strategy and labour market intelligence into practical delivery models that create meaningful opportunities for young people.
  • Develop and scale innovative approaches to work experience, employer engagement and targeted interventions for young people at risk of becoming NEET.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing delivery team, ensuring activity is coordinated, evidence-led and focused on impact and outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, schools, colleges, local authorities and strategic partners to align activity and maximise outcomes.
  • Use data, insight and evaluation to identify priorities, develop targeted interventions and improve performance.
  • Influence system-wide approaches, shaping how careers education and employer engagement are delivered across the region.
  • Oversee programme performance, governance, reporting and continuous improvement to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes and impact

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience of leading programmes, projects or system-wide initiatives, including translating strategy or policy into practical, scalable delivery approaches.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience of developing teams and driving high-quality, outcomes-focused delivery.
  • Experience of influencing senior stakeholders and building partnerships across complex systems, including education, employment, employer and public sector environments.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to use data and insight to identify priorities, shape interventions and improve outcomes.
  • Experience of designing and implementing innovative programmes or delivery models that respond to identified needs and generate measurable impact.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build credibility, secure buy-in and bring partners together around shared goals.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of careers education and youth employment across South London.

You will work with senior leaders from education, local government, employers and skills organisations to design innovative solutions that help young people access meaningful pathways into education, training and employment. If you are passionate about leading programmes, influencing systems and delivering lasting social impact at scale, we'd love to hear from you.
