
Trainee Recovery Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Recovery and Business Rates Team for a Trainee Recovery Officer. Are you a talented and driven individual looking to launch, or restart, your career with Chelmsford City Council? Then this could be the role for you!
The successful applicant will assist with the recovery and enforcement of unpaid council tax, business rates and benefit overpayments and have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the role. Applicants will need a positive attitude to learning and developing new skills. The role requires accuracy, a commitment to customer service and clear and assertive communication skills.
The post holder will be required to work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. Chelmsford City Council operates a hybrid working policy and successful applicants will be able to work from home, with minimal need to visit the office, subject to successful completion of training as above. The Revenues and Benefits Service operates hybrid working and, following a period of in-house office-based training, remote working is possible.
