Are you an experienced project professional with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are seeking a SEN Project Manager to play a key role in delivering our ambitious SEND Reform Programme. Working within Education Services, you will provide project management expertise to support the implementation of strategic improvements, ensuring programmes are delivered effectively and achieve meaningful impact for children, young people and families across the Isle of Wight.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex workstreams, coordinate improvement activity, and support service transformation across education, health and social care partnerships.
What you'll do
- Lead the coordination and delivery of the SEND Reform Programme and associated improvement projects.
- Manage programme governance, including boards, workstreams, action tracking and reporting.
- Monitor progress, risks, issues and performance, ensuring projects remain on track and deliver intended outcomes.
- Provide project management expertise and support across Children's Services.
- Use business intelligence, data analysis and performance information to inform planning and decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with partners across education, health and social care to drive service improvement.
- Support the development of effective project management, risk management and continuous improvement frameworks.
What you will bring
- Experience of successfully managing or coordinating projects and improvement programmes.
- Knowledge and understanding of SEND, education, inclusion and children's services.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships.
- Strong ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- A commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

Salary range
- £37,955 - £40,787 per year
