Are you passionate about driving service improvement and delivering meaningful change? Join our Children’s Services Business and Change Team and help shape the future of services for babies, children, young people and families.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Analyst and Change Officer to join our Business and Change Team within Children’s Services.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering business transformation and service improvement initiatives that support positive outcomes for babies, children, young people and families. Working closely with operational teams, partners and key stakeholders, you will analyse business needs, identify opportunities for improvement and help ensure that business processes and case management systems are optimised to support both service delivery and strategic objectives.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting and analysing business requirements, mapping current and future state processes, and translating these into clear workflows and functional specifications for ICT colleagues. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop practical, effective and sustainable solutions that promote best practice and continuous improvement.

You will lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including the development of test scripts and supporting documentation, ensuring that system enhancements and process changes are thoroughly tested prior to implementation.

A strong understanding of data quality and statutory reporting requirements is essential. You will help ensure that system configurations, workflows and user processes support accurate data capture and reporting, enabling services to meet their regulatory obligations and performance requirements.

Working alongside the Business and Change Manager, you will contribute to system upgrades, improvement projects and wider change programmes, helping to plan, coordinate and deliver business change activities across the service.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in business analysis, process improvement and requirements gathering, with the ability to engage confidently with a range of stakeholders and translate complex business needs into practical system solutions. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills are essential, together with experience of supporting system developments, testing and implementation activities.

You will also support the delivery of major transformation programmes, including the Families First Partnership Programme, ensuring that business change is effectively planned, managed and embedded alongside case management system developments. Through your work, you will help ensure that systems and processes remain compliant, effective and fit for the future needs of the service.

Our vision is ‘creating change together’, using language that cares which drives our values and behaviours to create change - in partnership with our children and families, our dedicated Children’s Service staff, our partners, and community services, to improve the lives of children on the Isle of Wight.

If you are passionate about driving improvement and using technology to enable positive change and would like to be part of a culture that values learning and continuous professional development, please get in touch to find out more.

You will be contacted for an interview if you are successful with your application.
