As part of our transformation journey, we continue to build on our progress and put people firmly at the centre of our care. We can only do this because of our highly valued, skilled, and supported workforce.

Making a Difference as a Support Assistant in Adults Services

  • Support service users within Day service settings and outreach including, individuals’ own homes across the borough, being sensitive and understanding to service user’s needs.
  • To assist in promoting independence, self-advocacy, and friendship groups.
  • To make full use of transport and travel opportunities to access community and leisure services with user groups.

To apply, we will need you to have some experience of supporting people who need assistance, planning and supporting people with a learning disability and autism in a person-centred way, and supporting people to self-manage behaviours which may present as challenging. You must understand the importance of promoting individuals' rights to independence, choice, and inclusion.
