The Opportunity

This post presents an opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work in a small team providing technical support to the Building Control service. You will have an eye for detail and able to measure plans and documents accurately to support a team of Building Control Surveyors to deliver Inspection services whilst also supporting Street Naming and Numbering services and the collection of Building Safety Levy.

This is an opportunity to develop your skills and talent and to make an immediate contribution to improving the quality of places in Charnwood and the lives of residents in our communities. We will offer you varied and plentiful experience in a busy Building Control Service, liaising with a variety of stakeholders to effectively achieve Charnwood’s aims of supporting sustainable growth.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and organised person with an ability to learn quickly and apply their knowledge effectively in a supportive learning environment. You will need to posses or be working towards a BTEC ONC in Building Studies or have experience working in a building control environment, be a team player with a positive approach, willing to contribute to the delivery of excellent customer service.
