As part of a team, you will support the maintenance and improvement of streets, neighbourhoods, parks, and open spaces by undertaking a range of street cleansing and grounds maintenance activities and ensuring all work is carried out by the appropriate Safe Systems of Work.These are key roles within our Streetpride Service, and you will provide support to the community and public to improve the way our City looks and feels by working with team members and partners to create a greater feeling of security and confidence among residents, assist in maintaining a clean and safer community, and signpost accordingly.The duties of these roles will involve:<ul>
<li>sweeping streets, emptying bins</li>
<li>litter-picking grassed areas</li>
<li>removal of dead animals and undesirable waste e.g. dog fouling</li>
<li>maintaining the grounds of highway verges and parks and public open spaces</li>
<li>driving vehicles and using power tools such as strimmers, hedge cutters, and other various grass-cutting machines.</li>
</ul>We are looking to recruit to both permanent and fixed term roles. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will:<ul>
<li>Be reliable and committed</li>
<li>Have a professional attitude and be willing to take on the tasks and duties within the remit of the role and service area</li>
<li>Be physically fit and able to walk for long periods and work in all weather</li>
<li>Able to undertake various labouring tasks involving bending, pulling, and lifting.</li>
<li>Customer-focused and able to remain respectful, calm, and polite in environments where they may experience challenging behaviours or situations when assisting the general public and customers by responding to minor queries and complaints</li>

About the role:
As Chief Electrician, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all lighting, sound, and AV operations across our venues. Working closely with the Technical Manager, you’ll lead a team of technicians to ensure all events run smoothly, safely and to the highest technical standards. <li>Managing the technical delivery of performances and events (lighting, sound, AV)</li>
<li>Liaising with visiting companies and clients to meet their technical needs</li>
<li>Supervising and rota’ing technical staff and casuals</li>
<li>Maintaining all technical equipment and ensuring safe working practices</li>
<li>Deputising for the Technical Manager when required</li>
</ul>
About you:
You’ll bring extensive experience in a busy technical theatre environment, including at least two years in a supervisory role. You’ll be confident in all aspects of lighting design and rigging (including intelligent fixtures), live sound mixing, and the set-up and operation of AV systems. A strong understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessments and working at height, is essential. You’ll also have a good working knowledge of current electrical regulations as they apply to the theatre industry. 
In addition, you’ll be an effective team leader and communicator, capable of supervising staff, liaising with visiting companies, and ensuring smooth technical operations across multiple venues. You’ll be IT literate and able to use systems like MS Office, Artifax and Oracle. A full, clean driving licence is required, and you’ll need to be comfortable with working unsocial hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

We seek the right person to join our team as an Estates Maintenance/ Grave Digging Operative.This is a unique role in which you will contribute to a wide range of maintenance activities with tight deadlines. The post of House and Event Manager will be required to manage events at the Venue, ensuring all client event detail, timelines and logistics are correctly interpreted, disseminated and adhered to and a customer-focused service is maintained at all times during the Venue’s annual events programme; amounting to 255 occupied event days, welcoming 250,000 leisure customers, 50,000 conference delegates and managing 125 client accounts.

<h2>About the role</h2>The Brighton Centre is an internationally known venue of considerable scale; it hosts conferences, events, exhibitions, meetings, festivals and concerts with a capacity of up to 5,500. The Brighton Centre sells in the region of 250,000 tickets per annum for its live entertainment programme consisting of approximately 90 live performances and holds on average 20 major conventions per year, amounting to a combined total of approximately 255 occupied event days per annum. This contributes to an annual economic impact to the City of Brighton &amp; Hove of circa £1bn per annum, contributing to 18,000 jobs in the local areaThe post holder will ensure that the Venue is always presented to the highest standards and remains compliant to best working practice during non-event days, providing management of all working personnel, contractors, and crew.Working within an ever changing business environment, the post-holder needs to possess a strong quality driven customer focus, combined with a demonstrable ability to plan and monitor complex business change in an uncertain environment whilst managing events on site and processing large amounts of information on a daily basis.
