What is the job role?

Coventry is recruiting for a Young Person Facilitator role for the Coventry House Project Supported Accommodation. This is an exciting post working with the National House Project in Coventry.

As a facilitator, you will provide individual and group support to young people. You will work in collaboration with social care, education, health, housing and other agencies to ensure that young people’s views are at the heart of all decision-making. You will also have responsibility to engage and work with the National House Project, including attendance at Community of Practice meetings, training and conferences.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

A dedicated practitioner - who is child and young person focused, with relevant skills, experience and knowledge.

You will have experience and knowledge in working with young people who are transitioning and leaving care into independence.

You will have an understanding of the challenges that care leavers face.

You will have experience and knowledge of working one-to-one with young people, delivering group sessions, and conducting home visits to support their development and wellbeing.
