About the role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Employment, Skills and Social Value Senior Officer to help maximise the benefits that major developments and public-sector investment bring to Hertfordshire.
In this influential role, you will work with local authorities, developers, contractors and community partners to ensure employment, skills and social value commitments are delivered and create meaningful outcomes for residents and businesses.
You will:
- Lead on the delivery and monitoring of Employment, Skills and Social Value commitments across a portfolio of major projects.
- Build strong relationships with developers, contractors, local authorities and partner organisations.
- Support the implementation of social value processes, systems and reporting.
- Create opportunities for local people and businesses through employment, skills, training and supply-chain initiatives.
- Produce impact reports and provide advice to senior stakeholders and elected members.
About you
Essential:
We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating positive social impact and can confidently work with a range of stakeholders to bring projects to life.
You will have:
- Experience of delivering social value, employment and skills, community investment or similar programmes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.
- Experience of project delivery, performance monitoring and reporting
- An understanding of public-sector procurement, commissioning or social value principles.
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
- Educated to degree level (Level 6) or equivalent experience
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Project management qualification or equivalent experience.

Driving required
