Civil Enforcement Officer
Salary: £25,989 to £33,699 per annum depending on experience.
Location: Hastings, East Sussex
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time/Weekends
Hours: 37 hours per week on a shift basis (shifts vary but will include weekends).
Are you looking for a new role in an ambitious and progressive council? We have an exciting opportunity available to join our friendly Civil Enforcement team here at Hastings Borough Council.
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, your role will be to provide an essential and valued service at the core of our public protection and community safety work. You will be fully supported in this role and will undertake patrols across the town, including in our off-street car parks. During these patrols, you will play a significant role in reducing enviro-crime and anti-social behaviour and helping to ensure our town remains a beautiful place to visit and enjoy. This work will be carried out in close partnership with other agencies, including the Police, other council departments and the local community.
The ideal candidate will be someone with experience working with the public. Having some form of enforcement experience would be an advantage, but full training will be offered to the right person.
You will be working with a team and organisation that has achieved Community Safety Accreditation through Sussex Police and you will be required to work towards this status.
This role will be linked with the Level 4 Anti-social Behaviour and Community Safety Officer apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is a 24-month, sector-specific program designed to equip professionals with skills for investigating, managing, and resolving community safety issues Successful candidates will be eligible for this training once their probation period has been completed.
