Senior Energy Adviser

Senior Energy Adviser

Environmental
£42,839 - £47,181 per year
Job Introduction

Are you curious, motivated and keen to make a difference?

We're looking for someone who can spot opportunities, influence change and help secure the best outcomes for Lincolnshire.

As our Senior Energy Adviser, you will lead on energy-related opportunities and challenges. A key part of the role is helping Lincolnshire make the most of the proposed STEP fusion energy project at West Burton. This could bring new investment, high-quality jobs and economic growth to the county.

You will also help shape Lincolnshire's future energy plans by working with businesses, partners and stakeholders to identify future energy needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide expert advice on energy-related opportunities and challenges.
  • Keep up to date with developments at the proposed STEP fusion site at West Burton.
  • Identify opportunities for fusion related jobs, skills, investment and infrastructure.
  • Brief elected members, senior leaders and partners on key energy developments.
  • Build strong relationships with businesses, government agencies and stakeholders.
  • Develop energy related projects and programmes that promote economic growth.
  • Develop business cases to secure funding and investment.

About you

You will be:

  • Curious and analytical.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
  • An assured communicator who can explain complex issues clearly.
  • Able to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled at turning strategy into practical action.
  • Innovative, motivated and results-focused.
  • Experienced in leading projects and delivering outcomes.

Experience in energy, infrastructure or economic development would be beneficial. However, we also welcome applicants with transferable skills and a strong interest in shaping Lincolnshire's future.

Why join us?

This is a unique opportunity to help shape one of the UK's most exciting energy programmes.

You will help Lincolnshire attract investment, create jobs and develop the skills needed for the future economy. Your work will support long-term growth and ensure the county is ready to benefit from advances in the energy sector.
