In this role you will:

  • Lead on the development and implementation of our revenue and capital highway maintenance programmes, including being instrumental in championing asset management, planning and pavement management principles across the wider Highways and Transport design and delivery teams.
  • Develop, monitor and review our Asset Management Policies and Strategies and ensure that appropriate data is collected and interpreted in a timely manner to influence decisions and support a proactive performance management culture.
  • Be responsible for data management within the Highways and Transport Division, with specific responsibilities for the National Street Gazetteer ensuring that condition data is interpreted in a timely manner to allow effective production of relevant performance management data.
  • Lead work relating to the development of Countryside Policy, the County Council’s Definitive Map and Statement and protected landscapes responsibilities.
  • Lead a team of 10 staff delivering unique integrated Highways Asset Management working in close collaboration with our inhouse Design and Highway Delivery teams. This close collaboration drives continuous improvement, innovation and delivers added value within an inclusive and supportive environment.
