GENERAL INFORMATION:
As the only 11-16 all-boys academy in Sefton, Birkdale High School aims to be a beacon for outstanding practice in the education of boys and be the school of choice for all boys in the Southport community and beyond. We passionately believe that a single-sex setting at this particular stage of a boy’s education is the ideal environment for them to grow in confidence, close the attainment gap with girls and develop their love of learning. Our boys are able to mature at their own pace, supported and challenged by staff who are experts in teaching boys, and surrounded by peers to whom they can closely relate.
The Music Department is a vibrant and growing area of the school, offering a broad and inclusive curriculum that encourages creativity, performance, and technical skill development. At Key Stage 3, students receive 2 hours of Music across a fortnight. Students study a wide variety of musical styles, developing their skills in music theory, performance on a range of instruments, composition, and music technology. At Key Stage 4, we currently have over 100 students studying Music. The department delivers the BTEC Level 1/2 Tech Award in Music Practice, providing students with practical, industry-relevant experience across performance, composition, and music technology.&nbsp;
Music is well supported beyond the classroom, with approximately 120 students currently receiving instrumental&nbsp;tuition. The department offers lessons across a wide range of instruments, including guitar, drums, piano, DJ skills, woodwind, and brass, reflecting a diverse and contemporary musical culture. Students are encouraged to participate in ensembles, performances, and enrichment activities that enhance both their musical confidence and wider personal development. The department offers a range of ensembles including Big Band and Birkdale Rocks, who both perform regularly at school and external events. Working closely with our Drama department, we have recently delivered productions of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, A Night at the Musicals, and are currently working towards a performance of We Will Rock You. We also host our very popular Arts Star competition each year, which showcases the many talents of our students across Music, Art, Drama, Robotics, Engineering, Baking and Animation.&nbsp;
The Creative Department offer opportunities for students to take ownership of particular aspects of the faculty. This has led to the development of our Art Ambassadors programme and our Creative Technical Crew, with roles covering sound technicians, lighting technicians and backstage crew, who are responsible for the running of all technical aspects of our productions.&nbsp;

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and motivated Pastoral Support Worker to join our pastoral team at Wings School Notts. Working under the direction of the Pastoral Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, engagement and personal development of children and young people with SEMH and ASC needs.
This role is central to ensuring students feel safe, understood and supported both in school and, where appropriate, beyond the school environment. Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. Our school caters for children from the age of 7 up to 16 years (Key Stages 2, 3 and 4). 
We help children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who may be struggling to keep up with the pace of work, may be losing confidence, or struggling with the overwhelming sensory environment of their mainstream school. The Role 
We are looking for an experienced, motivated VAT accountant who can work constructively and proactively with colleagues both within FMS and corporately. The postholder will report directly to the Team 4 Finance Manager, with occasional matrix structure arrangements depending on project demands.
Candidates should have a sound understanding of Local Government VAT requirements, and specifically how our ongoing capital projects and any future major development work involving external companies would impact the Council's VAT arrangements.

This role is within the housing sub-team of the London Plan. You’ll be a skilled communicator, with a successful track record of policy development and plan-making, ideally with particular experience in planning for housing growth and a firm understanding of the importance and challenges around delivering affordable housing. Experience of working in planning policy at a London borough will be particularly welcome.&nbsp;&nbsp;

You’ll have excellent knowledge of the range of planning issues facing the capital and be able to demonstrate your political awareness. We are looking for a fully qualified Environmental Health Practitioner to join our small dynamic team. Enforcing food hygiene and health and safety legislation in a wide range of premises, you will be required to carry out statutory inspections, and targeted interventions employing the full range of enforcement tools where necessary. In addition, you will investigate complaints and workplace accidents and conduct outbreak investigations. Offering advice and support to businesses is equally important.
You must be a keen, self-motivated person who can work well as part of a busy team. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and use your initiative to carry out your duties effectively. You will be appropriately qualified with a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health and be registered with the Environmental Health Officer’s Registration Board, or the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Your current competencies will include being able to carry out the full range of food hygiene interventions in line with the FSA’s code of Practice.
You must have a driving licence and be able to work outside office hours on occasion.

This role provides support for core curatorial work for the Museum service, ensuring professional collections standards are met.
The Assistant Museum Manager will help people to understand their heritage through engaging with the collection, so that they can develop a sense of belonging and pride, and increase access to heritage through effective collections management and innovative programmes of exhibitions, outreach, and digital development.
A successful Heritage Lottery Fund grant was awarded in 2018 for the development of a new home for the Museum. The old building closed to the public in February 2019 and the new premises opened to the public on 1 November 2019. The new space, at the Samuel Wickens Centre, is much better suited to showing the history of Rustington in a cohesive format and includes visitor experiences, such as an oral history bank and interactive stations. A temporary exhibition area allows a changing programme of events and a space to hold family activities and host talks for visiting community groups during the day.&nbsp;
The Museum shares the building with a Community Hall and the Information Centre in the heart of the Village.&nbsp;
The postholder will support the delivery and growth of engagement with new and existing audiences.
They will support the Museum Manager with cataloguing, care, research and interpretation of the Museum’s Collection and will be involved in all aspects of curatorial work.
The post holder will work in close collaboration with the Rustington Heritage Association and a variety of external stakeholders and partners.
