Salary: M1-M6
Actual Salary: £34,068 - £46,938
Contract: Fixed Term until 31st August 2027 in the first instance
Hours: 32.5 per week
Start Date: 1st September 2026
The Headteacher and Governors of Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School wish to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic class teacher who has the drive, vision, energy and commitment to join their hardworking and passionate team. We welcome applications from ECTs and more experienced teachers. The successful candidate will teach in one of our resource provisions, which main area of need is communication and interaction. There will be ten children in this room and we require a passionate and caring teacher to give them the nurture and personalised learning that they need.
We are looking to appoint an individual who:
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner who values all children;
- Can make adaptations for all children;
- Has a secure knowledge of EHCPs and the plan, do, review cycle;
- Has knowledge and understanding of what constitutes excellent provision and outcomes for pupils;
- Has comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum;
- Demonstrates high expectations of individual achievement and behaviour;
- Is creative and enthusiastic;
- Has good organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Has flair, talent and initiative;
- Demonstrates a commitment to raising standards;
- Is able to work in close partnership with the whole Trust community.
