About the role
We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking ICT Technical & Infrastructure Manager to lead the delivery, development and security of the Council's ICT infrastructure and technical support services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development, security, and resilience of ICT infrastructure, systems, telephony, and technical services.
- Managing and developing the Service Desk and Technical Support teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services.
- Ensuring core Infrastructure systems are available, secure and aligned to business needs.
- Managing ICT contracts, suppliers, procurement, budgets, and resources to deliver value for money.
- Supporting the delivery of the Council’s ICT and Digital Strategy, including technical roadmaps and service improvements.
- Maintaining strong cyber security, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, and operational risk arrangements.
About you
We are seeking a confident ICT leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering secure, modern and reliable services.
You will have:
- A degree-level qualification, preferably in IT, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience managing ICT infrastructure, technical operations, and service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, servers, networking, storage, and ICT architecture.
- Good knowledge of cyber security, data protection, compliance, and operational resilience.
- Experience leading teams, managing suppliers, budgets and technology projects.
- A customer-focused, collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
