At South Cambridgeshire District and Cambridge City Councils, we're helping to shape the future of local government across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough through Local Government Reorganisation (LGR). This role sits at the heart of that work, supporting a major transformation programme that will influence how local services are delivered in the future.
What you'll do
This is a key support role providing programme and project support to the Local Government Reorganisation Implementation Team across South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge City Council, helping to ensure effective governance, communication and delivery.
- Support programme and project governance, reporting and compliance
- Co-ordinate project information, meetings and programme boards
- Manage communications, updates and stakeholder engagement
- Support resource planning and decision-making processes
- Work with programme teams to improve processes and ways of working
- Provide administrative support across the LGR Implementation Team
What we're looking for
You'll bring experience of working in a project or programme environment, alongside strong organisational and communication skills.
You'll be confident in:
- Managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Supporting projects and maintaining accurate reporting
- Building relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Communicating clearly and effectively at all levels
- Working flexibly in a fast-paced and changing environment
