This is an exciting role working as part of a successful and highly driven Housing team. You will provide support and expertise focusing on improving housing options for residents in the borough.
This is an opportunity to develop policies and strategies across Hertsmere’s Housing department. This will include creating and analysing data reports to identify trends within the housing sector and recommending and delivering projects to respond to these. The post will support the Housing Services Manager and Housing Management Team to collate and interpret local outcomes and impact. The post holder will monitor the department’s performance to ensure effective service delivery which focuses on homelessness, housing options, housing enforcement and supporting those with complex needs. They will lead on key projects for the department including maximising rightsizing within social housing and will develop successful partnerships and work closely with our Planning team, regarding affordable housing.
The successful candidate will have worked in a customer facing environment and be an excellent communicator (both in person and in writing), skilled at using Microsoft Office as well as grasping the use of other systems quickly. Being well organised, with accurate record keeping competency, they will also have a strong understanding of policy and strategy development within the Housing Sector, managing projects and implementing policies from start to finish.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).

The Council operates a hybrid working system where employees may work three days per week from home.
