Enfield Youth Development Service is located within the Children and Families division part of the Youth People and Community Safety Department and well placed to support young people with additional needs, including ‘children in need’, those on a child plan of protection, children looked after and young people engaging in risky behaviour. This is a part time position (18 hours per week), with a pro-rata salary range of £14,335 - £15,481 per annum. 
Youth Development service works with young people age 11-19, (and up to 25 with young people with disabilities and learning difficulties). The key aim of youth work is to provide personal and social development opportunities to children and young people to help them to transition to adulthood and achieve the best outcomes, whilst promoting good citizenship. 
As part of the contextual safeguarding approach, you will use a variety of youth work methods to positively engage young people such as detached and outreach youth work, mentoring, advocacy, provision of information, advice and guidance, one to one work, group work and project work. You will be part of contextual safeguarding youth work team, line managed by Youth Service and directed in its work by the Contextual Safeguarding Hub to target identified hot spots and young people at risk. Our ambition is that through a provision of contextual safeguarding youth work approach, we will reduce young people’s risk to extra familial abuse outside of home whilst strengthening their resilience and ability to make informed and safe life choices. 
You will work with young people in a wide range of settings such as streets, local parks, communities, neighbourhoods, schools and will use a variety of youth work methods to positively engage young people. You will be required to undertake evening and weekend work in accordance with service requirements. 
You will be required to engage identified young people through establishing a relationship of trust in one to one support, group work, projects and activities that promote learning, personal and social development and above all enable young people to make informed choices to stay safe in contexts outside of their family and home. 
You will deliver specific and bespoke interventions tailored to young people’s needs and abilities in a variety of settings to reduce young people’s engagement in risky behaviour and risk of harm in response to the themes/needs identified by Contextual Safeguarding Hub. 
As part of your role you will be required to share information and work collaboratively with key professional agencies involved in contextual safeguarding such as social workers, Police, schools/PRUs/Colleges, youth offending service, community safety, health, housing and others. Support and challenge young people’s attitudes and action towards issues such as unemployment, drugs, poverty, racism, sexism, disability, health, sexuality, criminality, peer, parental and community pressure.

The Community Wellbeing team at Guildford Borough Council has an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic playworker to join our popular Playrangers service. The Playranger service is looking for highly motivated and organised individuals who are able to advocate for and demonstrate the value and importance of good quality, outdoor play for children in the borough.&nbsp;
The&nbsp;Playrangers&nbsp;team&nbsp;is involved with&nbsp;the day-to-day delivery of the&nbsp;Playrangers&nbsp;service, providing accessible and challenging outdoor play opportunities in local parks and open spaces across the borough. The&nbsp;Playranger&nbsp;sessions have an overall aim to encourage,&nbsp;support&nbsp;and widen accessibility to play opportunities for children within the borough; to play freely and enjoy the benefits of playing in the outdoors in their community. The primary age range of children for this service is&nbsp;five&nbsp;to twelve years old.&nbsp;
Day-to-Day Duties&nbsp;
You will&nbsp;arrive at the&nbsp;depot to pick up the&nbsp;Playrangers&nbsp;van&nbsp;and head to&nbsp;one of the six sites. You will need to unload the play equipment from the van. An element of manual handling is needed.&nbsp;
The session will include&nbsp;monitoring&nbsp;the children’s&nbsp;behaviour,&nbsp;safeguarding&nbsp;and encouraging children to&nbsp;play freely and&nbsp;together.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Working hours will be outdoors and involve the direct delivery of play opportunities to children and young people&nbsp;in all weather.&nbsp;
Additional Information&nbsp;
The successful applicant will&nbsp;be required&nbsp;to undertake essential training and will have access to a range of extra training opportunities related to the role.&nbsp;
This post requires an enhanced DBS disclosure for regulated activity working with children and a full UK driving license. Bounce Back for Kids (BB4K) is a lifeline for children healing from the trauma of domestic abuse. From April next year, we’re expanding our service and looking for new Support Workers to join our team – helping guide children and families on their healing journey.
Position: Bounce Back for Kids (BB4K) Support Worker
Location: Homebased with frequent travel. Role covers casework activity across Oxfordshire area including Cherwell, West Oxfordshire and the wider Oxfordshire area.
Contract: Permanent part time – 18.5 hours per week, weekdays.
We’re open to discussing working patterns that match both your needs and our service delivery.
Salary range: £12,868 - £15,727 pro-rata per annum (full time equivalent range £25,735 - £31,453 per annum)
About the role:
As a Support Worker you will play a significant role in supporting children and families affected by domestic abuse, some of your key responsibilities will include: 
<ul>
<li>the completion of assessments to understand the needs of families</li>
<li>delivering group work for children and parents</li>
<li>provide 1-2-1 sessions to children and families most in need</li>
<li>supporting our families through providing outreach support</li>
</ul>
About you: 
A successful Support Worker will need a good understanding of domestic abuse and the impact on children and families (or an interest in working in this field), with experience of delivering groupwork programmes for vulnerable parents and/or children.

Contract: PermanentAre you passionate about helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to get the best start in life?Are you energetic and creative with skills and knowledge to share?Our excellent training and ongoing support will turn your passion into expertise that can change lives.<h4>About the Team</h4>You will be in one of the 10 Services for Young People district teams and will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the prospects of young people.Working with young people locally aged 11 to 17 in groups of 12-25, many of whom face challenges in their home life, education or local community, you’ll help us deliver targeted prevention and early interventions, informal education opportunities and develop their skills. &nbsp;Supported by qualified and experienced staff, you will be a key member of our team supporting the delivery of a diverse range of curriculum programmes including independent living skills and emotional wellbeing, to supporting young people in staying away from crime, anti-social behaviour and offering guidance on relationships and sexual health.<h4>About the role</h4>Our sessions run for 2.5 hours and typically evenings Monday – Saturday during term time which depending on the weekly hours you can commit to could be the following:<ul><li>5 hours = 2 sessions a week</li><li>7.5 hours = 3 sessions a week</li><li>10 hours = 4 sessions a week</li></ul>We’re looking for people from a wide variety of backgrounds who have worked with Children and/or Young People in a voluntary or paid capacity.Additionally, we are keen to hear from those who have skills to share in areas such as sports, outdoor learning, art &amp; crafts, media, music, health as a tool to establish a relationship and engagement with our young people.If you’re passionate about working with young people, keen to learn, have good communication skills and are a team player, you’ll fit right in to our friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment.Whilst a driving license is not essential some of our locations can be a little challenging on public transport so a car and license would be preferrable.
