Are you an experienced and motivated administrator looking to make a real difference for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are seeking a part time highly organised Senior Business Support Officer to join our dedicated SEND Team within Children’s Services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting vital statutory processes and ensuring high-quality services for children, young people, and families.

About the Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing complex diaries, meetings, and communications for senior managers
  • Supporting statutory SEND processes, including data returns and reporting
  • Handling enquiries from families, professionals, and partner agencies
  • Producing accurate data, reports, and performance information
  • Contributing to service planning and continuous improvement

You will play a vital role in ensuring that the service runs smoothly and that children and families receive timely and effective support.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong administrative experience, ideally within a public sector or SEND/social care environment
  • Is highly organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is confident working with data systems and producing reports
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and safeguarding

A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or equivalent experience is desirable.

Our Offer

We offer a supportive working environment where your contribution is recognised and valued, alongside:

  • Opportunities for training and professional development
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people
