<li>be working closely with the Officers, Administrators and Coordination Managers and using your knowledge and skills to assess the impact of applications. &nbsp;</li>
<li>use your judgement to provide advice and apply amendments, controls or restrictions to work carried out in order to achieve the goals of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and the New Roads &amp; Streetworks Act 1991 (NRSWA).&nbsp;</li>
<li>be interpreting and implementing the NRSWA Code of Practice for Inspections and the Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in the Highway (SROH).</li>
<li>reporting into the Traffic and Network Inspections Managers, you will maintain precise and accurate records of inspection activities.</li>
<li>liaise with various internal and external companies, authorities and stakeholders.</li>
<li>look to achieve resolutions to defective work and apparatus on the highway whilst maintaining departmental goals.</li>
</ul>The Ideal Candidate You will:<ul>
<li>Have excellent inter-personal and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Be a highly motivated, self-starter with a drive to succeed, demonstrating a positive ‘Can do’ attitude.</li>
<li>Be able to deal with a range of issues and conflicting demands whilst adhering to relevant legislation and delivering to tight deadlines and keeping calm under pressure.</li>
</ul>What you’ll have:<ul>
<li>Hold or be willing to train to acquire required accreditation – LANTRA 12D (M7) Supervisor as a minimum</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience as NRSWA - Supervisor&nbsp;</li>
<li>Previous experience in traffic and network management</li>
<li>Experience of dealing with permits, licences and road works on the public highway</li>
<li>Ability to interrogate data and make recommendations</li>
<li>Full UK driving licence</li>

If so, we might have the ideal opportunity for you.Our School Crossing Patrol Service operates to assist school children and pedestrians on their journey to and from school.We regularly have vacancies for School Crossing Patrols throughout the County and would be pleased to hear from you if you may be interested in doing this essential work.Main Responsibilities The duties are term time only and are therefore ideally suited to anyone who prefers to take school holidays.You will receive full training and uniform, and payment throughout the year.You will also be required to attend a Health Assessment conducted by Staffordshire County Councils’ Occupational Health Department.We currently have vacancies for:<ul>

</ul>School Crossing Patrols operate twice daily during term-time.Duty times usually fall between the hours of: &nbsp;&nbsp;<ul>

<li>each duty can last from 30mins up to 1 hours in length, but each crossing location is unique and has its own specific operating times (some locations may fall outside of these times, please check with the School Crossing Patrol team for individual crossing information).</li>
