About the role

This is a part time role – 25 hours a week.

As our Procurement Officer you will ensure that the Council delivers Value for Money in its procurement of goods, services and Works, and creates financial savings wherever possible.
You’ll be providing strategic and operational procurement guidance and consultancy advice to all Service Units within Rugby Borough Council and works within the Shared Service in partnership with NBBC.
You’ll be representing the Procurement Service at meetings and in multi-functional project teams, creating and maintaining links with relevant outside organisations and presenting a positive external image and reputation of the Council.

ICT Applications Support  Officer 

About the roleNorth Northamptonshire Council - NN Leisure team are looking to appoint 1 x Active Communities Workers who will join our Active Families team. The programme will support more North Northamptonshire residents to participate in physical activity, make positive lifestyles changes and encourage regular long-term participation to improve their health, mental and physical wellbeing. The project will deliver a varied activity programme across North Northamptonshire that meet the needs of families on their doorstep, ensuring that residents of all ages have the opportunity to try new activities and sports, move more and live healthier lifestyles. The post is a part time role at 20 hours per week.As part of the NN Leisure - Active Families team, we can offer you further training in Health and Safety, Equality, First Aid, Safeguarding and other NGB qualifications as required. What will you be doing?Working as part of the NN Leisure Active Families Team, you will be delivering a range of fun and engaging sport and activity programmes for families and residents in North Northamptonshire. The programme with deliver a variety of different sports, exercise and play activities for which you will either be the lead coach/instructor or be the support for other team members. There will also be a requirement to delivery and support the management of the annual large scale Active Families Fundays events, which are held during the summer months. You will also have the opportunity to assist the Active Communities Team with the delivery of Sportsleaders courses and other training development sessions, supporting community learners and volunteers. Candidates will also be required to support with admin and the development of evaluation reports for the Active Families project. About youThe successful candidates will already hold at least one qualification in any play, sport or exercise based learning at Level 2 or above (i.e. Play leader, NGB, ETM, Personal Instructor etc). Applicants must also have experience of coaching/instructing and delivering sessions to a variety of age groups and have adapted sessions for all abilities. About the roleThe Virtual School is a team of experienced teachers and dedicated educational professionals. We promote and support the educational attainment and progress of Northamptonshire's children in care and children previously in care.We are looking for an Achievement Officer to join the Virtual School working specifically with our post 16 cohort of children in care to support them to progress in and engage with, education, training, and employment. You will report to and work alongside our post 16 Education Officer and another Achievement Officer.What will you be doing? You will be responsible for investigating and finding solutions for the range of issues that may adversely affect progress in, and engagement with, education, training, and employment for young people who are post statutory school age. You will do this through liaison with education and training providers, young people and carers and any other related agencies or professionals.You will proactively support education and training providers so that they can maintain the young person’s place with the provider.You will ensure that all case work records are kept in line with service expectations and agreed operational policy, practice and procedures.You will represent The Virtual School at Multi Agency Meetings as and when required e.g., initial and review Personal Education Plans. About you We are looking to recruit a forward-thinking person who works well in a team.
