Family Finding Senior Social Worker

We have a fantastic new opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our Kinship Assessment Team, as our Senior Social Worker. As our Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for overseeing our caseloads of Kinship assessments including fostering and special guardianship assessments, through both private and public law proceedings. Senior Social Worker - Kinship Assessment Team

Birmingham Children’s Trust continues to go from strength to strength. We are the largest provider of social care services for children, young people and families in the country. The pace is fast, and at CASS, we cover all of Birmingham, so you can imagine the challenges of progressing over 4000 referrals each month, that number doesn’t include the phone calls we get. We work core hours (8.45am to 5.15 pm Monday to Thursday, 8.45 to 4.15pm on Fridays), and sit with the MASH partner agencies, to continue to develop strong relationships with all those invested in safeguarding children. Staff are required to work from the office 3 days per week which could change to 5 days per week at any point.
