We have an excellent opportunity for a part time Service Delivery Officer working 22 hours a week, ideally over 4 or 5 days.&nbsp; The role is based in Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Team to provide support to the Independent Reviewing Officers (IRO) in the administration of child in care reviews.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
The role involves setting up of children in care reviews, sending out documents before and after meetings, collating reports, updating and maintaining databases and working with the IROs to ensure that statutory deadlines are met.&nbsp; The role also involves the coordination of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests for Children’s Services to ensure they are answered within statutory timescales.
The team is based at the Shute End offices and whilst you will not be required to be in the office 5 days a week there is an expectation that you will work from the office at least 1 day a week.&nbsp;&nbsp;

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time post of Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the Adult Mental Health Social Work Team. The team consists of qualified social workers some of which also hold Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) and Best Interest Assessor (BIA) status. Staff carry out assessments, formulate care plan’s, reviews including s117 aftercare reviews, social supervisor responsibilities, social circumstance reports for people who are detained under s.2 of the Mental Health Act 1983 who have lodged an appeal, in addition to attending Tribunals. They will work within the legal frameworks that underpin Adult Social Care Practice, for example, The Care Act, Safeguarding Adults, Making Safeguarding Personal, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Human Rights Act and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
The role requires a confident individual who can continue to build on the positive close working relationships with adults experiencing poor mental health (complex and noncomplex), their families and carers, Barnsley Integrated Commissioning Board, Health and Housing colleagues, and other associated professionals.&nbsp;
The role also includes sharing management responsibilities with the Manager and the other Advanced Social Work Practitioner’s by undertaking supervision, authorising care plans, allocating work, acting as a safeguarding manager, providing advice, support and direction to team members. &nbsp;
AMHP qualification is desirable but not essential.

Independent Fostering Panel Member (Wirral Council)

18.5&nbsp;hours per week
The Fostering and Adoption Team are looking to recruit a Social Worker to focus on the support needs of children living with adults via a Special Guardianship Order (SGO). This role will include an emphasis on placing the safety and welfare of children at the very centre of everything we do.
Based within the Adoption Hub of the Fostering and Adoption Team, you would work directly with children and adults to undertake assessments of SGO support needs, produce and action SGO support plans and review these regularly. You would offer advice, guidance and signposting to Special Guardians, birth parents, other relatives and professionals on SGO-related topics (e.g. keeping in touch arrangements). So we are looking for a Social Worker who is excellent at working directly with young children, adolescents and adults alike. The successful applicant will have well developed empathy skills, a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and be keen to engage in reflective supervision.
As part of the Fostering and Adoption Team you would work closely with colleagues in the Fostering Hubs, Support and Protection Teams, the Virtual School, schools, other professionals and the wider community.
