About the role:Team Manager opportunity in EMPOWER U team (Exploitation and Missing Hub) City Wide Service ( 12 -18 months fixed term contract for external candidates )An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager in the continued development of the EMPOWER U Team (Exploitation and Missing Hub) Citywide Service. The successful person will need to be an innovative individual; to work within the EMPOWER U hub in the areas of child exploitation, missing and wider contextual risks such as Serious Youth Violence and Harm outside the family home . The successful applicant will take an independent and objective approach; working in an open and transparent way with the ability to challenge partner agencies and advocate on behalf of children, parents, and carers.In addition, the successful candidate will work in partnership with a team of specialist workers and partners; will chair disruption planning meetings and reviews in relation to children exploited, missing and /or involved in serious youth violence. In addition, they will work in partnership with the district teams, intelligence analysts and assist with any safety planning and decision making in relation to individual and groups of children for whom there are concerns around criminal and /or sexual exploitation and missing. The individual requires a good understanding of contextual safeguarding. You will have substantial experience of managing complex caseloads, services, and mental capacity matters. You must be able to evidence multi-agency collaboration with experience of working across professional and organisational boundaries.
