What is the job role? &nbsp;We are looking for an experienced Children’s Worker to rise to the challenge of keeping children “Out Of Care”. With a reassuring presence, calm in a crisis and able to work in a trauma informed way with families in their homes, helping them make changes and stay together. Then help us to transform the lives and futures of children &amp; young people on the “Edge of Care”.This is an exciting role that is designed to ensure that children and young people are prevented from entering the care system through a Family Valued, trauma informed evidence-based approach and practice. You will hold a small case load of complex families (as directed by management), where they are experiencing relationship breakdown for a range of reasons, providing an intervention package to prevent young people from becoming looked after. &nbsp;You will lead on the aftercare provision provided to families working with Positive Directions, which will entail following up with families once interventions have ended and aftercare provision will ensure the appropriate support remains in place.You will lead in ensuring the service is promoted to the wider social care workforce, by devising a series of presentations and training that entail Family Valued, trauma informed response and practice, exhibiting what a project within the Edge of Care Service facilities involve.This post is fixed term for 12 months.&nbsp;All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. What is the job role? The principles of progression are underpinned by the <a href="https://new.basw.co.uk/training-cpd/professional-capabilities-framework-pcf" target="_blank">Professional Capabilities Framework</a> and the <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/708704/Post-qualifying_standard-KSS_for_child_and_family_practitioners.pdf" target="_blank">Post Qualifying standards for Child and Family Social Workers</a>. These characterise assessment at progression points and support the expectations outlined within job descriptions at each stage. There are a range of ways in which these capabilities and standards can be evidenced for assessment, and include submission of portfolios, presentations and panel interviews.Post ASYE Social Worker (G6) to Experienced Social Worker (G7)&nbsp;Experienced Social Workers will be evidencing they are able to take responsibility for more complex work with children and families, doing so with an appropriate degree of personal accountability and autonomy as they progress through their social work journey.
