Main Responsibilities
You will:
<ul>
<li>be working with families across the continuum of need from Child In Need through to the conclusion of Care Proceedings.</li>
<li>Working within a District Model you will work closely with your colleagues in Early Help, Children in Care and Care Leavers and Children with Disabilities Team. In addition, to&nbsp;our colleagues in health and education.</li>
<li>be responsible for completing the&nbsp;statutory duties in co ordinating the child’s plan, reviewing and ensuring that our children are seen and heard.</li>
<li>Undertake section 47 investigations</li>
<li>Undertake placement of children into Local Authority care, when it is agreed they can no longer remain at home</li>
<li>Be responsible for the completion of both Private and Public law reports</li>
<li>Be responsible for referring into our centralised services for specialist support/ services.</li>
</ul>
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll need:

<li>A qualified Social Worker</li>
<li>Registered with Social Work England.</li>
<li>Have a current UK driving licence and vehicle</li>
<li>Ideally have completed their ASYE before starting this role</li>

What is the job role? EDT ensure that any Social Care emergencies that cannot be safely left to the following working day are dealt with, responding to the whole of the community of Coventry including Children's Services, Housing, Adult Social Care and Youth Justice Services therefore considering the overarching principles and objectives of these disciplines.&nbsp;The Emergency Duty Team (EDT) provides an out of hours emergency service between 5pm and 8.30am throughout the week, including weekends and are office based during these times.The team responds to safeguarding concerns relating to children, young people, their families and adults. They also provide an out of hours housing service.The post holder will be responsible for overseeing/supporting the work of Children and Family Workers. In partnership with agencies, the post holder will be responsible for responding to all requests for assistance received during the work shift with a particular focus on promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, adults and families of Coventry until core working hours.&nbsp;All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK.
