What will you be doing?
You will work closely alongside the management and support team, with the day to day running of the shifts.
Prioritising and directing the workload to team members, ensuring any issues are dealt with as they arise and the health safety, welfare of customers and employees are responded to.
You will assist the management team by providing and recording information to help amend and update care plans so that changes in customers’ needs can be supported appropriately.

<li>With your previous experience in care leadership, and NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health &amp; Social Care (ideal), you'll join our team in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.</li>
<li>To contribute, as a senior member of staff, to the overall management and development of service provision in a given geographical area, planning for the future development of services to meet the needs of customers from diverse cultural communities.</li>
<li>To contribute to the process of annual resource requirements reviews, monitoring budgets and planning budget needs for the future to determine where customer needs can be met within budget restraints.</li>
<li>To actively promote a customer voice in the provision of the service, including the encouragement of self and citizen advocacy.</li>
<li>Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.</li>
<li>We will offer 2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2-4 weeks "Buddy&nbsp;scheme" too. We will settle you in, there's no pressure to "hit the ground running"!</li>
<li>You will understand the Quality Commission (CQC) and to have good knowledge in all relevant legislation and regulations. Your role will involve ensuring that the home provides high-quality care and support to residents.</li>

<h2>Job introduction</h2>Shared Lives Carers are self-employed and are responsible for their own Tax &amp; National Insurance, although they can access the Shared Lives Tax relief when they are registered with a Shared Lives Scheme.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Payment ranges for the different types of care are as follows:

<ul>
	<li><a>Long-term range from £254.59-£479.07 per week (paid every 28 days)</a></li>
	<li>Respite range from £60.62-£72.74 per day (paid weekly)</li>
	<li>Day support&nbsp; £51.75 per day.</li>
</ul>

<h2>About the role</h2>The Shared Lives Scheme involves a Shared Lives Carer sharing their home and their family (and community) life with an adult who has care &amp; support needs. These needs may include adults with Learning Disability; adults with Dementia; younger adults with complex and or behavioural needs.&nbsp;&nbsp;

For Carers it provides a flexible, interesting role with a fantastic work life balance, free training, working as a self-employed professional with support from the West Northants Shared Lives scheme.
