An exciting opportunity has arisen in our team for a fixed term Day Services Assistant to work in our Community Team. You will work peripatetically within our Community Team, which will mean that you will provide cover for the existing staff team when they are not in the workplace. Our Community Team provides sessional support enabling individuals to access activities of their choice within their local communities. The main purpose of the role would be to consider the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of any individual receiving support - whilst making peoples' sessions enjoyable and meaningful. A person-centred approach to support for individuals will ensure that opportunities to promote their independence, maintain friendships and improve their wellbeing will be achieved. To ensure our services are maintained, all day service assistants will need to work flexibly with us to ensure the level of support required is available. This will mean that the ability to work over a 7-day period is an essential requirement of the role. This could include weekend and evening working. You may be required to work in any area within the County Borough during your working week. Community based staff require a Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work to transport individuals throughout the county borough.
