We are looking to appoint a Part time (18 hours) Assistive Technology Installer who will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm.
The successful candidate will be predominately installing and uninstalling equipment which provides innovative telecare solutions to promote the independence and wellbeing of vulnerable people and their carers in the community.
You will work collaboratively with Adult Social Care and other key stakeholders within the council in support of Technology Enabled Care solutions.&nbsp; The work is fast, varied, and challenging and as a result you will acquire a diversity of knowledge and practical skills. A good understanding of all telecare equipment available would be beneficial as is knowledge and experience in Technology Enabled Care Solutions.
The successful candidate must be a confident communicator, and have experience of dealing with vulnerable adults, often in challenging situations. Patience and excellent listening skills are essential elements for this post as is the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information. Our Team:We are seeking to recruit a Principal Manager to lead our Care Homes and Reablement Division.The postholder will provide strategic and operational leadership to a well-established team of six Registered Managers across our nursing and residential care homes, bed-based reablement service, and community-based reablement service.The team is experienced, stable, and works collaboratively to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support.The Principal Manager will report directly to the Head of Service and will play a key role in driving quality, performance, and continuous improvement across the division.Your Contributions:Your role will be to spend time in services supporting managers to ensure they have systems and processes in place to evidence that the services are compliant with all regulatory activities.You will lead the team and provide effective leadership and support.You will produced reports with managers detailing key activity in relation to falls, safeguarding, pressure trauma, admissions and discharges. You will be supported to work collaboratively with managers and colleagues from our policy and practice team to produce/ update policies and procedures. We will support managers with complexed complaints and staffing concerns.You will work collaboratively with colleagues across adult social care to ensure the best outcomes for the people who use ours services, their families and our staff.The service has an ambitious budget recovery plan, so you will need to support managers to meet agreed actions contained in these. We support adults to live independently in their community with the support of a family and community network. It can be described as a bit like fostering, but for adults. People are matched based on shared interests, lifestyles, and sense of humour. Shared lives offer a rewarding and flexible way to support someone in your family home.
The people we support attend day service, work placement, volunteer or have day support from another carer Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for supporting an individual, who is carefully matched to your family, with daily living skills on a day-to-day basis. This post provides day support for individuals who may not be suited to day centres or work placements. This can be in the community or in your own home.
The role is very flexible, and you would only provide day support when you are available to do so. This is not a domiciliary care position, and this is not rostered. Many support bookings are for a minimum of 3 hours. As a shared lives carer, you could support- People with Learning disabilities, Autism, Mental health issues, ABI, Mum and baby, Dementia or people who need support after living in a Domestic Violence environment. All you need to be a shared lives carer is an open heart.
