The role of the Family Time Worker is to support the line manager in ensuring an efficient and quality supervised family time service is delivered to children and families in Blaenau Gwent.
An opportunity has arisen within the Children’s Services for a Family Time Worker with proven experience of working with and delivering services/programmes to&nbsp;children, parents and carers.
You will be responsible for supporting supervised family time arrangements as agreed by referral and review, ensuring that family time sessions are planned and supported to meet the needs of the child(ren) in question and support parents in developing their relationship and interactions with their children to ensure that family time sessions are as positive as possible for the child(ren).
Essential criteria for the role includes a relevant Level 3 (or above) professional qualification in Health and Social Care, Early Years, Education (e.g. H&amp;SC, CCLD, NNEB, EYCE) and Safeguarding Level 1 and 2. You will also be able to engage effectively with a range of professionals and agencies to promote partnership working and have an understanding of the needs of children who are looked after and/or in need of protection.
Thorough pre-employment screening is undertaken during the recruitment process. The post holder will be required to complete an application for a Disclosure of Criminal Records.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive&nbsp;pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include anEnhanced Disclosure with Child and Adult Barred List.

The Rough Sleeping Outreach team providers a vital service in Portsmouth to support and engage with people who may have become homeless and have resorted to sleeping rough in the city. The Outreach team goes out at different times of day, including early in the morning, to look for people sleeping rough and to help them away from the streets. The team's priority is to seek to engage with rough sleepers and check their immediate health and wellbeing, gather information about their situation, and provide further advice, support and signposting to appropriate services in the city - including Portsmouth City Council's Rough Sleeping Hub in Queen Street. People who have slept rough might find it hard to trust others because of negative experiences; it's crucial to build up trust and get to know people individually. Rough Sleeping Outreach Workers will therefore take a person-centred and trauma-informed approach to working with any individuals who may be rough sleeping, and make use of the strong partnerships with other organisations in Portsmouth to help them access accommodation and support, such as physical and mental health services, drug and alcohol services, legal support and advocacy. Reporting to the Senior Rough Sleeping Outreach Worker, you will be part of a small team which will provide the Rough Sleeping Outreach service within the city. The team will manage a caseload of clients who are known to be sleeping rough in Portsmouth.
