Are you passionate about making a real difference to children, we are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals to join our Empower U team as Missing Support Workers. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a focused engagement with children who have gone missing. As a Missing Support Worker, you’ll be offering, high-quality return home interviews with children who go missing sometimes as a one off or sometimes more regularly. You work will help in reducing future missing episodes, address contextual safeguarding risks and assess safeguarding concerns. Your reports will make recommendations to prevent further missing episodes based on your visit with the child. It is integral every contact is underpinned by strong engagement skills so children feel safe to talk to you and you are able to engage children who may not find that easy. You will have a caring nature and be professionally curious about why a young person has gone missing and the impact of missing on the child(ren). You will have awareness of why return home interviews are undertaken and the themes and trends around missing children. Also, your approach will be trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally competent, to ensure these responsive visits are impactful and supportive even when you may only engage with this child on a one-off occasion. While you will receive good support you will work independently, mostly carrying out visits on your own. You will be required to manage your own schedule and caseload, often under tight timeframes. The role requires extensive travel across the region, so flexibility and self-motivation and self-resilience are essential. Senior Contact and Escort Organiser, Deputy Manager

Our Family Practitioners play a key role in&nbsp;working with children and families to support children to remain within their&nbsp;families. Providing crisis&nbsp;intervention and working&nbsp;collaboratively with social workers to support children in need, children on child protection plans and children in care.
You'll be expected to undertake flexible, creative and imaginative approaches to offering support to children, young people their families and carers whilst underpinning our restorative approach.
This may include being available outside of traditional working patterns including evening and weekends to provide support to children, families and carers when it is needed.
You will be based in Cannock, covering the Cannock Chase District (including - Cannock, Rugeley, Norton Canes, Heath Hayes).&nbsp;
Main Responsibilities
Our Family Practitioners are key workers for the children and families we support. In this role you’ll be:

<li>leading on early help assessments and plans</li>
<li>working together with social workers to support children in need, children on child protection plans and children in care</li>
<li>contributing to parenting assessments, supporting mediation, crisis prevention, conflict resolution and Life Story Work</li>
<li>supporting on the completion of accurate documentation, reports and records relating to work you do with children, young people and their families</li>
</ul>
This role specifically is within a Social Work Duty Team.&nbsp;
The main functions of this role will be:&nbsp;

<li>Supporting Social Workers to complete child and family assessments.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Completing direct work with children and their families for crisis prevention and conflict resolution.&nbsp;</li>

And through all this great work you do, you’ll be supporting children and families, with a restorative practice approach, helping them stay together where possible

The First Contact Service has 3 teams within the service. The teams engage with citizens of Staffordshire, carrying out strengths based, outcome focused assessments via the telephone and virtual technology. The Care Act 2014 compliant assessments determine citizens assessed eligible needs while promoting their assets and facilitating their independence. First Contact will develop care and support plans with people and work with Brokerage to put services in place to meet their residual eligible social care needs.The service delivers a single point of access for all age carers who are supported to access information, advice and guidance. What is the job role? Edge of Care is a service that will support young people at risk of entering care to stay with their families. Day Support Assistant

We understand that family life is not easy and sometimes relationships break down. Our service works with families to try and understand what has led to the relationship breaking down and support them to repair and move forward.We are dedicated to safely prevent and reduce the number of children and young people entering care and provide direct and intensive support to children aged 8- 18 years old and their families in their homes over a period of 4 – 12 weeks and beyond if there is a need.As we deal with families in crisis and children on the edge of coming into care, our families require intensive support which means that we visit at least once a week and sometimes more, if families are in crisis. We often work with families experiencing domestic abuse, mental health issues, and substance misuse alongside child-to-parent violence and children with significant additional needs, including neurodiversity and trauma from abuse, loss, or bullying.We tailor our support to each family’s unique needs. Senior Social Work Assistant - Safeguarding

Healthy, Safe, Behaviours (HSB) Team – Supporting young people with Harmful Sexual Behaviour £52,431.00 to £64,811.00: (with market supplement) up to £72,311.00 (depending on experience)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Principal Psychologist to join our Healthy Safe Behaviours Team (HSB). This newly configured service supports children and young people (7 to 17 years), open to Birmingham Children’s Trust, who present with harmful sexual behaviour. The team adopt a multi-agency approach, supporting Early Help, Safeguarding, Children in Care and Youth Justice Services; delivering bespoke and tailored interventions and programmes of education and support.We are looking for a Principal Psychologist, with significant experience of clinical leadership, service development, and working from a trauma informed, systemic and developmentally sensitive perspective. This new role will work alongside the operational team manager to provide clinical leadership for the ongoing development and delivery of this service in accordance with the evidence base and current best practice guidance.Previous experience working with children and young people with presentations relating to harmful sexual behaviour would be beneficial. However, we are also keen to hear from psychologists from other specialties with strong skills in complex formulation, assessing and managing risk, supporting teams (leadership, consultation, training), and the ability to look beyond behaviour. Experience working with children and young people who have histories of early adversity, social care or youth justice involvement, childhood trauma &amp;/or significant attachment disruption would also be desirable. </ul>What is the job role? The casual Senior Practitioners will cover shifts for substantive EDT post holders within periods of absence. This will entail you working shift patterns between the hours of 4.15pm -9am week days and throughout weekends therefore applicants should be able work outside of core hours. This is an office based role based within Coventry.&nbsp; As a member of the Council’s Responsive Services, the Emergency Duty Team (out of hours social care) offer essential support services, generally, outside of standard office hours to address urgent social care needs and ensure the likelihood of emergencies occurring is reduced. EDT ensure that any Social Care emergencies that cannot be safely left to the following working day are dealt with, responding to the whole of the community of Coventry including Children's Services, Housing, Adult Social Care and Youth Justice Services therefore considering the overarching principles and objectives of these disciplines. &nbsp; The post holder will be responsible for overseeing/supporting the work of Children and Family Workers. Casual Senior Practitioner
